  • Every single service provider they sent out (on fridge, ice maker, etc.) was a nightmare to work with.  One actually caused damage to my Sub-Zero fridge that leaked all over my newly-finished wood floors and damaged them permanently.  Another one double-billed me.  ORHP employees were untrained, rude and unhelpful; I had to go all the way to upper management to get anything done, and that was painful.  Every single conversation was painful.  AVOID AVOID AVOID.

  • Customer service is atrocious.  Every single individual with whom I spoke at this company was rude or refused to answer even the simplest question with anything other than, "I'm sorry I don't have that information." or "I'm sorry I don't know." or "Let me transfer you to so-and-so." And then nobody ever answers the phone.

  • AHS does a good job as a home warranty company.  I've always had decent response, good repair people, and the contract seems easy to understand.
The fees seem to rise quite a bit from year to year, I used to pay $475/ year annual fee with a $60 per service charge, and now its $613/year with a $75 per service fee.  My biggest concern is now they will only pay $10 per pound of refrigerant for the air conditioner. With that change I feel I may look at other providers.
