Grill Repair reviews in Austin

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Terrible. Chris came out to look at my grill in early June and said he would order the parts. I have called and emailed so many times I can't count them. His last response was July saying the parts were on order an after that no one returned by phone calls or messages via Angie's list. My grill was out of commission the entire summer. I finally just caught him on his cell phone and he was not at all apologetic and tried to say he just never received the parts (which I don't buy). I would have hired someone else had you told me you could not complete my repair job in a timely manner. This was absolutely terrible service.

  • It went great.  Great communication, easy to book appointment online, technician showed up on time and got right to work.  The grill looks great and he was honest about areas that couldn't be fixed (too rusted, etc).  They are able to replace certain parts if broken (which we didn't need to have done).  I'd definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to others!

  • My grill isn't fancy. But it wasn't cheap either. When the regulator busted and I couldn't find the right part at the home supply stores I was stuck, but really wasn't ready to spend $500-$1,200 for a new grill. When I do I'll call Nick, though. He picked up the phone when I called, came out within a reasonable time to repair and is a really good guy. Whether you have a badass outdoor cooking setup or a Lowes gas grill Nick will help you out. I was really pleased, especially because I could start grilling the same day. Thanks Nick.

  • The project started by setting up an appointment online for the initial estimate.  Chris, from Flo Grills, showed on time and showed us the products.  We already knew what we wanted and explained it to him.

He sent us an estimate along with CAD drawings of the islands.  I asked to make a few changes.  We added a 2" backsplash, and increased the height of the grill to 38".

It took a few days to get the new estimate to us.  We looked it over and decided to go with it.

To start a project, they needed the signed CAD's along with the initial deposit.  No problem, except, we were never given revised CAD's.  We made write in changes, and initialed all changes.  The CAD's did eventually get to us; but it was a little late.

Originally, Chris said it takes about to weeks to get started, and about a week to finish.  After the first week, we called and asked when they would be starting the install.  At that point, he put us on the schedule.

Two weeks later, I e-mailed and asked when should we expect the install.  He said they were looking for the second island that we ordered and they should be able to get started the next week.  It was started the next week..  Three weeks into it.

The islands were placed, and then the crew didn't return for a few days.  Week 4 went by and the project was still not completed.  I e-mailed, and asking when we could expect it to be finished, and it seemed like the answer was always by the end of the week.  It was finally completed after the 6th week.

Overall, I was a little disappointed in the work.  It was over priced for the quality of the job.  We had a similar grill set up installed in Nevada for less, better quality, and it only took them 3 days to install.

examples of quality issues:  1. The stucco was painted with a brush, so there are a lot missed areas. 2. The counter top is not one solid piece.  It was a slabe of Mexican Cantera Stone, that was pieced together and the seam is grouted together.  3.  The grill was supposed to have a rotissory; but they installed it too close to the oven.

  • Everything turned out well, and it was a great experience.  Nick was very professional and friendly, did a good job with the repairs, and was very communicative.  In fact, I really appreciated when he called ahead to inform me that he was running behind schedule.  I also appreciated that he quickly located a part for the grill and took it upon himself to install the part promptly.

  • They were very responsive and easy to work with.  The project went on much longer than expected due to the city permitting process.  Chris communicated with the city and worked through all of their demands. Quick response and fix on a faulty fridge and faucet.  Very helpful from the beginning, with design and build, to the end with some cooking tips.

  • They came out in October, November and December. They provided the fireplace, fireplace glass for indoor and outdoor fireplaces. It is gorgeous. They could have been more timely and realistic and more attentive to the project. The price was fine and I was happy with the quality.

  • They did a great job. They replaced the wooden parts with plastic. I shouldn't have to have any work done on it again. The person who did the work was very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to others.
