    HERNANDEZ DRYWALL
John was very prompt. Came in for in-home quote same day and fixed the drywall the next day. He gave me instructions on how long to wait and how to paint the patch. I can't tell a large 2'x2' was replaced. He also fixed a small issue in our kitchen free-of-charge. Thanks John for your great work!

    HERNANDEZ DRYWALL
Very prompt, he removed and replaced the drywall within an hour. He also referred us to someone who was able to do necessary repairs to the roof, which caused the damage in the first place. Very friendly!

    Ressling Builders
I hired Josh for several jobs at my house among them re-doing my textured ceilings, installing a range hood, and replacing beams and posts supporting my front porch. I would not hire him again. The beams and posts warped and had to be replaced, partially at my expense, in less than one year. While installing the range vent, Josh dropped it on my range leaving a significant scratch; that said, his work installing the vent out the ceiling and roof was excellent. The textured ceilings look great (that part of the work was subcontracted). Josh used pressure treated lumber for the porch beams and posts. After less than a year, all had warped or twisted to the point that people coming over were noticing and asking what was wrong. When this problem happened, I called the lumber company that Josh uses and asked what sort of wood they recommend for this project. Both times that I called they said pressure treated wood would not be appropriate as it could warp, and they recommended two other products. Internet searches for "pressure treated wood warping" also quickly reveal several results indicating warping is an issue with this wood. I would have expected this advice from my contractor when discussing materials. I contacted Josh about the problem. After significant negotiation, Josh agreed to replace the beams at a cost of $1,385, of which roughly $660 was labor cost and the rest materials and taxes. Plus I had to deal with the inconvenience of another construction job. When I hire a contractor, Im paying for expertise. Josh did not bring that, and it cost me $1,385.

    Rawsko's Renovations
Jon can do it all. He's completely remodeled our bathroom, built a deck for us, and replaced an exterior door. He does all of the work himself, so you don't have to worry about a variety of people coming by. He's great a communicating and is clear about what he plans to do. Jon is always the first person I call when I have a project I need help with.

    Maven Construction Company
Before you even consider Maven Construction, based primarily out of San Antonio that's led by "Micah," amongst others, I'd suggest you take off running as fast as you can. They were a TOTAL DISASTER! Folks, BEWARE OF THIS company. They were paid thousands and thousands of dollars and left me with an absolute mess at my home, both inside and outside. Most things along the way, I had to have them redo and redo and redo...to the point of "just get done with what's in progress, and get out of here"! Following their dismissal, and totally unbeknownst to me, Maven Construction (Micah) deliberately did not pay/had NOT been paying all of "their" subcontractors they brought in to do work on their behalf. (that I had nothing to do w/ hiring). So fast-forward....those same subcontractors that Maven Construction personally hired were NOT PAID by Maven Construction out of the monies I paid personally paid Maven (Micah) for the shoddy (being nice), unacceptable work inside/outside of my home. In turn, those subcontractors have filed a claim against Maven, which therefore, caused a lien to be placed on my home (b/c that's legally how it works. it unfairly and inappropriately goes back to the homeowner.) for the amount that Maven owes those folks. Furthermore, to share, my personal Realtor is the sole reason that Maven Construction blossomed w/ so much work in the Austin area b/c, like myself, any clients that needed any of the aforementioned services, he (Realtor) specifically referred to Micah. Needless to say, he'll never, ever refer any other clients to Micah; however, Micah/Maven Construction was able to develop many contacts from my Realtor's clients in the field....so much that it looks like there's now an Austin address for them. I'm happy to share photos and the countless emails/texts back and forth regarding their (Maven's) poor quality of work. Am now having to spend a fortune redoing many things, as well as having things done they were paid for that THEY DID NOT DO! A six-week project turned into months and months. Literally, I could go on and on.

Flaco and his crew are quite simply the best. The are timely and accurate with their quotes and true craftsmanship Flaco hires talented carpenters, painters and other handy work that one might need. L H Company
Louis was wonderful! He was meticulous in his work and did an incredible job repairing an old hvac closet and building out shelving. He took a huge eyesore and made it a highly functional and beautiful storage area. He also removed an old unused cent from my dining room and patched it with drywall. You cant even see where it was! I would hire him again in a second!

What a waste of my time. They engaged immediately and u described the work. We scheduled a time for him to come by to give an estimate. He cans, was polite, looked at the work and told me I would have an estimate by the next morning. When I didnt receive it, I texted and was told it mustve gotten caught in his outbox and he would resend. Followed up the next day and now he pawned me off in a sub to save me money. Of course I never heard from the sub either. I was transparent about the work before he cane, he assured me they could do it and then decided it wasnt going to be worth it. Thanks for having me take a day off work for nothing!

It didn't. Never heard back from them even though I said I was flexible on time-frame, would still like email, call, text. And as Angie's list suggested I should rate and document based on my experience.

    AUSTIN HI-TECH RESTORATION
They came to my home and reviewed the damage. A bid for repairs soon followed. Once the work was scheduled, they came on site, performed the work in a very timely and professional manner. I will certainly use them on future repairs and recommend them to friends.
