We paid up front and then after a month received an additional bill for $80 that we weren't expecting. They sent specimens off to a lab that we didn't know about when my company furnishes the lab work for free.  I will not visit this business again.  We have tried to talk to them, but they will not work with us at all.  Beware of their additional charges that they don't warn you about.

i would have given all As but for the parking.  My first appointment was in the morning and I had no problem accessing the office on Brodie; they share a parking lot with Red's Porch.  I do not recommend an afternoon appointment, due to the hordes of people parking I the lot to head into Red's for happy hour.  My second appointment was at 4:10 and between traffic and no place to park, I was late and a bit frazzled.  Once inside, however, everyone is very helpful and efficient.  I recommend Dr. Raines highly.  He asks what you as the patient are concerned about and then starts with a review of your concerns.  He explains everything about what he sees on your body, its origins, and what he recommends for treatment. He was conservative about treatment but assertive about a mole that needed to be removed.  He completed the procedure quickly and gave me options for proceeding on other treatment needs.  I am in the middle of some treatment but so far so good.

The surgeon, Dr. Chern, was excellent . She performed a complicated procedure to close up the deep hole left after the cancer was removed, and minimized any scarring. Her work was flat out amazing.
The medical tech who started out with me was very gentle and kind. After I went in for continued skin removal (which is how they do Moh's- little by little, until they get cancer free margins), that first tech was busy on another patient, and the new tech was much rougher and unsympathetic about the pain she was causing me . I complained to Dr. Chern, who thanked me for the quick feedback, and she made sure we waited to proceed until the first tech was freed up. ( I have since discovered that the" mean tech" doesn't work there anymore.)
My original dermatologist there, Dr. Valerie Hanft, is also excellent, and I see her for ongoing skin checks, and any other concerns.
She is warm, light spirited, communicates well, and is conservative but thorough in her outlook as far as medical procedures are concerned. That agrees with me!
The offices are really beautiful- filled with natural light. They carry great skin care lines, and there are a lot of samples which you can use to try things out.
The office personnel can be a bit frosty and tend to err on the side of physically perfection as their highest goal, not the warm concern for their patients. It is easy to imagine them having an unspoken contest concerning the most perfect everything: straight, blow dried hair...highest heels... tightest skirts, you name it. They belong in a Dallas office...nothing Austin about them.
On the other hand, what really counts are the physicians, and they are caring, warm, and of the highest professional caliber.

It went really well. I saw my dermatologist through Angie's List. I'm very happy with her. She's very personable. I like the office. I like the location. The staff was great. It was fast. I was able to get in really easily.

    Bee Caves Dermatology
She located a questionable spot on my scalp which she biopsied.  The spot proved to be a malignancy, which she removed entirely.  Follow-up biopsies revealed no cancer cells beyond the margins of the surgery.  In my view, and that of other doctors with whom I consulted, Dr. Mrtinez is absoutely first-rate.  She explains everything, listens carefully, and follows up relentlessly.  She's now our family dermatologist, and are very happy.

Amazing attention to details, care and comfort of my mother. She was cared for quickly in the ER, taken for surgery and the stroke damage was minimalized. Her care in the NVICU was amazing, her nurses were attentive, caring, helpful and hopeful, which made the ordeal much easier than I would have thought possible.

    Dr. Julie E. Jackson
Dr. Jackson identified the itchy spot as basal cell skin cancer immediately, and the lab work on the biopsy confirmed her diagnosis.  She thought that the other small spot was benign, and she was also right about that.  I think that she did a good job of removing the right amount of the basal cell tissue to make it easy for the dermatologist who removed the cancer a couple of weeks later.  She is very professional, and I would trust her for future dermatology services.

In August 2014 I went to Westlake Dermatology on Bee Caves Road for a facelift.

I am extremely pleased with the results of my surgery, performed by Dr. Cameron Craven.

The jowling that was under my chin Is completely gone, and my face looks at least 7-8 years younger.
My family knew of this surgery, and I have received many compliments from family members about how good
my face looks.   Dr. Craven is a careful, conservative surgeon, and my face does not look at all ?pulled
back? or unnatural.   Following my surgery, my face looks much better, and it also looks completely natural.

Westlake Dermatology Clinic is a beautiful facility, and Dr. Craven and his staff are very well-organized.  The medical staff pays great attention to personal detail, and are very concerned about your health and well-being.  You will feel very well taken care of here.

I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Craven and his medical staff at Westlake Dermatology.   I am confident that if you
are looking for a first rate surgeon who will do an excellent job, you need look no further than Dr. Cameron Craven.

He felt he got a thorough exam and he liked the doctor. He was seen promptly. They took his insurance and he appreciated that. He got in and saw them really quick. It's a brand-new office. They were right on schedule. He always takes the first appointment of the day.
