In particular, a 48-foot 4x6 pressure-treated shaker beam was installed under the middle of our upper living room where there had been no prior support and the floor used to rattle noticeably when walked upon.  Seven steel T-Provider name locked. piers were also installed to support the beam.  Two additional steel T-Provider name locked. piers were installed, one to shore up the front porch and the other to support properly the load of the center beam where it meets the back patio slab. Additionally, four spread footers were installed below the front porch slab to adjust and stabilize it, and five more spread footers were installed around the perimeter of the back patio to adjust and stabilize it.  Joist hangers were also added to at the back patio slab where existing joists were pulling away from the band joist.  The pier-and-beam portion of the house was then incrementally level-adjusted.  For the slab, eleven steel piers were driven to bedrock (10 to 12 feet) around the foundation, and three footing holes were excavated under the garage slab.  The rear slab was then incrementally jacked up about 2 inches to level it. To access the slab, a portion of our custom deck was disassembled and reassembled upon completion.  Finally, a licensed structural engineer certified all the work.  City of Provider name locked. permit fees were also included in the job, and all debris from the job was removed.

All this work went exceptionally well and was performed as scheduled over the course of four days.  The crew was very professional, and the crew chief consulted extensively with me during the two leveling processes and other times as necessary.   For a project of this magnitude, we anticipated some drywall cracking, but this was minimized, and none of our extensive tile work was cracked at all.  Throughout the course of the project, if not on site, Provider name locked. , the head of the company, was always available by phone to answer any questions.

Overall, this was a very professional job performed on schedule.  I highly recommend Provider name locked. .

  • During the job, they broke some irrigation lines. When I called, the gentleman came out that day, and repaired the pipe. The next week when I turned on the irrigation, there was a leak in a different place. I called again and he came back the next day and repaired that one. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the job and especially the responsiveness of the company to the broken water lines. It seems that this is a common occurence with digging around, but I thought that the service to repair it was UNCOMMONLY excellent!

  • Our pier and beam foundation was old and in need of significant releveling and also replacement of old piers that weren't properly installed in the first place.  We hired an engineer to determine the extent of the problem and to Provider name locked. the scope of work needing to be done.  Provider name locked. was available and we engaged him based on his reputation and interest in getting started soon. By the end of the evaluation, we needed to have 22 piers replaced, 9 piers recapped to bring them up to the needed height, and about 100 linear feet of beams replaced to provide a solid foundation before we releveled the house.  We knew that, from one corner to the diagonal, the house was out of level by almost 6 inches! Provider name locked. 's crew of 4 or 5 men worked each day for about 3 weeks to do the clearing, digging, etc.  They replaced the beams and did the releveling over a couple of more days, and then began to pour the new piers to conform with City code.  Altogether, it took a lot longer than I expected and Provider name locked. , too.  But the work was thorough, well-done, compliant with the engineer's standards, and the house is truly level--a wonderful ending. Provider name locked. and his crew needed to be supervised a bit, in that Provider name locked. was almost never on the job.  But the crew manager, Provider name locked. , was very competent and easy to communicate with.  Provider name locked. 's cost estimations were a little sloppy, but he made revisions to suit us and we have no regrets whatsoever.
