Excellent job to fix my Ford Fusion Hybrid on short notice: they fixed the Blower motor, Resistor block, air conditioning, oil change, full service. Called ahead, brought it in at 10AM, at noon they called with the estimate and alternatives too. Also they gave me a 20% new customer discount. Now we have a saafe car with defroster, heater, air conditioning and safety inspection done. Plus they gave a good recommendation to get a spare key made at half the price of the Ford dealer's $250 per key.

Horror, The owner doesn't care if the vehicle's are being properly fixed, he (Steve) the owner is just trying to make a dollar off the people. to many horrific horror tales from off duty employees, that he won't let you have a one on one conversation with at his shops about your own vehicle's problems. had to go behind Steve's back after hours and spoken to 2 of his mechanics just to find out what was the deal also he treats his workers poorly, and not good business ...

They did a great job with this old car that carries my daughter and granddaughter. The grinding sound is gone now that the car has the new wheel bearing. When I picked up the car they explained all the work and answered my questions. They also gave me a 20% discount as a new customer ( I didn't have to ask). They also emailed a full status report on the car. I crosschecked the bill with some friends and also comparable on-line estimates for the same work. I am very pleased to do business with this company again and I certainly recommend them.

    Foundation Auto Repair

A few months ago, I went in to America's Service Station (now Driver's Edge) for clutch work (very expensive outcome) and the repair did not take. My clutch smelled like it was burning. When I went to take my truck back in they were gone! SO..... I went to Foundation Auto Repair (awesome people/mechanics) and they FIXED everything that America's Service Station did wrong to my clutch. Foundation Auto Repair informed me that "There was no indication that the trans had ever been removed." and "Master and Slave cylinders had been replaced but were full of contaminated fluid causing corrosion inside components. Slave would not fully compress and master and line were full of black fluid."!!! I understand America's Service Station goes by a new name of Driver's Edge at the same location in Round Rock. BEWARE!!!!

Bottom line: Foundation Auto Repair has earned my trust and will be our main auto repair source for both our vehicles from now on and I will tell all my friends and family about them.

    Very happy with them!

I always like to take my car to a mechanic before I buy it to make sure I know what troubles I am getting in to.  The first car I brought (a PT Cruiser) the fella stopped the inspection half way for there were too many issues with the car and he strong discouraged me from buying it!  A few weeks later I brought in a Toyota Solara.  He detailed the two issues with my car (the missing belly pins and the timing belt needing to be changed) out in writing so I could take it back to the owner to dicker with them!  Fabulous people and great work!

Went well. They did a thorough inspection and gave me an itemized breakdown of the condition of my car, including photos. I chose to do some, but not all, of the recommended work at that time, but plan to use them again in the future for the remaining work.

The diagnostic work was fine, professional and prompt. They ordered the taillight assembly and it didn't arrive when expected. After several days we found it was sent to the wrong Precision Auto (under same ownership, I think).

First let me say that my family has been going to ASG for three decades. They're on the pricey side, but I know they won't quote me unnecessary work ? and they'll tell me when it might be time to call it quits on a car with a lot of problems.
Since I've been living in Texas and West Virginia for the last eight years or so, it'd been a while since I'd been by; but Dennis Whitehead was the first person I called when I first moved to Texas and wanted confirmation that my Austin mechanic was an honest dealer.
My vehicle ('97 Toyota Camry, 118,000 miles) overheated while driving from West Virginia to see my folks in Alexandria. This happened on a Saturday, when ASG wasn't open, so I took it first to a competitor around the corner.
The competitor used a hydrocarbon (CO) test and said there were hydrocarbons in the coolant, indicating a blown head gasket ? and quoted me around $5,000 (including radiator, upper/lower hoses, spark plugs, timing belt, thermostat, the works). The timing belt threw up a red flag for me, because I replaced it 22,000 miles ago; so, skipping a lot of the details, I took the car to ASG for a second opinion and took a rental car back to West Virginia.
Bill called me on Monday to tell me they had taken an extra careful look and were certain the head gasket was fine. He quoted me $1,025 out the door, including a new radiator and upper and lower hoses.
(Later, after hearing more from the competitor, I learned a bit more about the specific test used. Apparently ASG uses something like an emissions tester to look for hydrocarbons other than carbon monoxide. The mechanic who worked on my car, who has worked for both ASG and the competitor, has found this test to be more accurate and produce fewer false positives.)
Out of appreciation for the careful work ASG had done, I asked Bill to quote me replacement knock sensors (a broken knock sensor had caused my check engine light to turn on, which is why it took so long for me to notice my car overheating). He called me back a bit later and said they'd found a minor oil leak while looking at the sensors ? and though it didn't need to be fixed urgently, he recommended doing this whenever I chose to do the knock sensors, because it'd save money. He also said it would save about two hours labor ($250) if they replaced the knock sensors at the same time they fixed the radiator issues.
A shady mechanic might have blown the oil leak, or the knock sensors, out of proportion. Bill was straightforward with me. So I said, "You know what? Go ahead and fix all of that, too, and while you're at it, can you fix my door handle, too?" I ordered an oil change as well. All of it was done by Tuesday afternoon.
Just to be clear, I live in West Virginia, where mechanics charge significantly less. I could have taken my car back to Morgantown to get the knock sensor and oil leak work done, but instead I trusted ASG. I knew, after my experience with the competitor, that I couldn't handle the possibility of someone being less than honest with me, or even making a mistake; so I paid the extra money for ASG.
What's more is that I think I'd do it again. I wasted probably eight hours dealing with the competitor. If every new mechanic I visit has the potential of costing me eight hours, none of them are worth it ? when I can just take the car to Automotive Services Garage, where I know they'll do a good job. In other words, next time I have work that needs to be done, I'll drive the car three hours to ASG and three hours back just to make sure it's done properly. That's how awesome these guys are.

Last 11/17/2014, I went to the store, my 2006 Honda element was with some noise in the front, they told left the car we will call you.
2 hrs. later they called me and said; YOUR CAR NEED, FRONT & REAR BRAKE PADS, BRAKE SHOES, BRAKE ROTOR FRONT AND REAR BRAKE ROTOR.
$ 735.60 dlls TOTAL, I asked them with all this part the car will be fixed, THEY SAID YES ABSOLUTELY.
3 hrs, later after I approve the cost they called me "your car is ready" when I arrived "Sorry your car is not ready", ok I went back to mu house, finally around 7:00 P.M., they called me again, "your car is ready" I went again to the store and yes again ' YOUR CAR IS NOT READY SORRY" THE MANAGER REY ALVAREZ, they delivered my car at 10:30 P.M., yes 10:30 P.M.
Next day 11/18/2014, I drove the car and surprise: THE CAR HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, YES EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM, I called to the store, they told me please come with the car to inspect again, the car are busy every day.
finally I went on 01/17/15, oil change, state inspection, and new windshield blades and obviously fix the noise, they called me 5 hrs. later, your car is ready.
I went to the store they FORGOT CHANGE THE BLADES, and incredible the noise still at the car, after drove with the technician and the manager, they told me come back to inspect the car again.
I went on 2/16/15, after 5 hrs. they called me and said:
SORRY WE CAN'T DO NOTHING, THEY TOLD ME THAT I MUST TO GO TO THE HONDA DEALER, PROBABLY THEY COULD FIX IT, SORRY WE CAN'T DO NOTHING,
AND MY MONEY I ASKED, SORRY WE CAN'T REIMBURSE YOUR MONEY"
Really this is incredible, the "manager" Jeremy Seamans, never spoke with me "he's busy really busy" they told me.
    Now I lost $ 735.60 dlls.
and my car have the same problem.
