  • Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the work done and cost involved.  The repainted areas match and blend in perfectly and rust has been totally addressed.  The original quote was for ~$3,500 and it came in at just under $2,700 so they provided an excellent service at an excellent value.  The job did take longer to complete than originally estimated (3.5 weeks instead of 2) as there was some difficulty getting replacement parts for my 12-year old car which is entirely understandable I believe.  I'd much rather have a good job later than a shoddy job sooner, so I have no complaints on the time it took.
    Where I do need to ding E&S a little is in customer communication.  When I returned home after dropping the car off, an email was waiting for me letting me know that I was signed up to receive automatic email updates on the status of the repair.  I thought, "Great!  That will work wonderfully."  Unfortunately, that was the last I heard of any updates.  Any updates I received only came after I requested them and even then it usually took a couple of attempts to get a response.  In the worst case, I was told the car would be ready for pickup on Wednesday so I let them know I would pick the car up Thursday morning after returning my rental.  I get to E&S Thursday morning and the car isn't ready so I have no car and no rental.  After speaking with them I learned that they knew Tuesday that the car wouldn't be done by Wednesday so why didn't they just call or email me to let me know?  I would have been fine rescheduling the pickup and there was plenty of time to do so.  <sigh>
    Bottom line: I would go back to E&S for any additional body work, you just can't beat quality workmanship,  but I would be careful to confirm the status of the car before making plans to pick it up.
