We met with the rental manager a couple of times. She was very reassuring and explained the set-up at Hammond Glen very clearly. My father lived in one town for his first 92 years. He lost my mother when he was 90. Moving was very traumatic. Hammond Glen is an absolutely first-rate facility. The staff has very low turnover (most have been there since it opened about 15 years ago). Dinners are provided, the food is above-average for such a place. There are many, many activities on-site and via facility-owned bus. Everyone there is friendly and pleasant. I know this sounds like hyperbole, but it is a dream come true. In practically the middle of Sandy Springs, way off of the road is this picturesque perfect place. They sometimes have a few units available, but often there is a waiting list. Some of the residents have nursing support. Hammond Glen does not provide any of that. They expect residents to live independently. Relatives are contacted when residents cannot take care of themselves or are not hiring their own nurses, then the resident needs to move into a nursing home or back with family. There are plans to build an assisted living facility connected to Hammond Glen, and they have been approved by the local government, but construction has not started, and I guess they are waiting for funding issues. The rent was raised about 2-3 per cent a few days ago, yearly increases are not unusual, but still very affordable. Some of the on-site offerings are a small store (staffed by residents) with some food and sundries, audiologist visits, bank visits, fruit/vegetable truck, religious services, discussion groups and movies on big-screen TV.

I last used them 3 years ago. They do a thorough background check of employees that are coming into your home. The staff are very efficient and informative. It is a one owner type thing. They come into your home and care for the elderly or if you are sick. They provide home help care. They help you keep clean, tidy up the house and fix you food. They are a little slow, when you first try to get them to work for you.

My care provider, David T, has been a huge help to me. He is a fantastic cook and has introduced me to more healthy alternatives in my diet. He takes care of things he notices without my asking and he is wonderful with my dogs and even walks them. I am extremely happy with the company and would recommend their service.

All has gone well thus far, and my mother seems to be quite pleased. I'm still waiting to see how billing works, as I had a coupon that was supposed to be applied.

I can rave about them. We checked them out. My mother and father originally moved to my mother. He's 89 years old. My mother had dementia and she had her problems. It was necessary for her. She couldn't take care of herself. My mother passed away and my dad has his new apartment. It's two rooms and the price for assisted living is kind of high. It's homey. It's very comfortable, immaculately clean. There was no smell anywhere in the building. The staff is unbelievably kind and nice, caring and watchful. It's the best place I could live if I can't live with my mom at home. I would grade them an "A+." It's costly but everything is covered except his personal stuff and his groceries. The room was so big. The bedroom was so big. They're very accommodating and very helpful. I recommended them to a lot of people.

I love them because they were so professional and courteous.  I had an emergency and within minutes they were here.  At the same time they were able to notify all my contacts.  So my friend and daughter came out immediately.  I was very impressed with them.
