The WHOLE project was a headache. I had to ask them to clean up the demolition trash from my backyard. They messed up the scheduled delivery date. When I called to get things straight I was put on hold for OVER AN HOUR! They didn’t ask me what angle I wanted the floor tile to be on. I had to wait over a month for them to pick up the old fridge. I had to wait months to bring the last few shelves and light bulbs... but that was all small potatoes. Now I am having a HUGE problem with my kitchen and Lowe's! I went to use the microwave and the electricity in the downstairs cuts off. A master electrician said that the work wasn't done up to code! Lowe's installed a new outlet for the new microwave and code dictates that new outlets have new circuits. Not only that, but microwaves should have their own dedicated circuit. Lowe's tied my new outlet into old wiring and thus my new microwave is on the same old existing circuit as my living room, dining room, ect.... There isn’t even a metal box around the outlet inside the wall. That is DANGEROUS and a VIOLATION of code, which is ILLEGAL. Due to Lowe's inability to supervise the work done by their general contractors and ensure compliancy with county and national code ordinances, my son's lives, and my life, have been endangered. In addition both my independent master electrician and DeKalb County (both departments, Permits and Inspections as well as Code Enforcement) have told me that the work was supposed to have been permitted beforehand and inspected after, which it never was. Any work over $3000, especially electrical, has to be permitted and inspected and it's the responsibility of the general contractor. When I bring this up to the general contractor, Paul Davis, used by Lowes, his response was, "No we did not permit it I don't believe. I don't think we charged you to pull a permit." It wasn't optional. Dekalb County requires it and it says in the contact that's Lowe's and the general contractor are responsible for all required permits and inspections. He was rude and unaware of county permitting, inspections, and code requirements so I ceased communicating with him and contacted Lowe's. A representative of Lowe's, said in her last response to me that she spoke with the general contractor and he said "he had spoken with the chief inspector...", "no permit needed for the entire job...", "permit only needed for electric box which could be installed without a permit...". Those are lies, 1st of all. Either he is lying to her or she is lying to me. I have spoken with DeKalb County and I have even sent her the code ordinances that show the work was supposed to have been permitted. So that is a lie. 2ndly, why is Lowe's relying on what the general contractor says anyway?! Lowe's should know the laws, code ordinances, and regulations for THEMSELVES for each county they choose to do business in. Saying they didn't know or didn't understand because their contractor said something different is not an excuse. 3rd, it says in the contract that Lowe's will hold the contractors responsible for all inspections and permits required. How can they be held responsible if Lowe's doesn't know what it is that's required? Now, I have to pay another electrician to fix what I already paid to have done correctly. I can't trust Lowes to fix it. They didn't do it right the 1st time. But so far they are refusing to reimburse me what I paid them to do the work originally claiming it didn't need to be permitted or inspected and it was done to code. That's a lie! They asked me to prove that a permit and inspection was required and I did. Then after admitting to needing a permit, the rep quickly recanted. I ceased talking with her and tried to go up the chain of command to the CEO. I was contacted by Lowe's executive support. I thought I was getting somewhere finally until he called me back and said "Lowe's has found that the electrical issues were cause by an electric heater plugged up..." I never had an electric heater plugged up in my house in October! I don't have 1 plugged up now! Who EVER said anything about an electric heater?!?! They were lying and now they have started making stuff up! This has been going on since October. I still can’t plug my microwave, or anything, into that outlet. I worry about the outlet sparking and causing a fire. Meanwhile they are dragging their feet and toying with me! I have always been a loyal customer of Lowe’s since I bought my house in ‘05. This is my 5th major project in my 1st house. I have 10 more planned for this house alone. I will NEVER use Lowe’s again. If you value customer service, customer appreciation, and living in a safe house, I suggest you never use them either!

Very Good! Over the summer we purchased fans from them and we are very happy! I purchased plants from them, too. They give you advise on how to care for the plants and they will replace them within reason, up to a year with a receipt if anything goes wrong.

The service was great as far as how the work was completed but lack of communication is why I scored them a B. I had to keep calling to get an update as I was told I would be informed but never was. It took almost a week and half to get my install done when it was suppose to be done sooner.

We just purchased a house near this Home Depot and it has been an invaluable place for getting all the materials for all the renovations we've done. Very pleased with the service, selection, and price.

4 years ago I hit a stump with my mower and it started to shake violently when ever  I tried to use it.  I put it in the shed where it remained untouched while a neighbor cut my grass.   Now that I'm laid off and money is tight I figured I would get the mower fixed. The people at Barnes were nice and helpful. They fixed my mower in a timely manner and at a reasonable price.

Went to the W Marietta Lowe's for custom blinds on Saturday. Saw the advertisement for complete installation for $99 for 9 blinds and added that to our order. This then required that a contracted installer come out and measure. Paid the $35 for the installer to come out and measure, which he did the next Tuesday. He faxed the measurements to the store the same day and we went in to the W Marietta store to complete the order and take the blinds home for the installer to put up this week. This is where the fun started. After waiting 20 minutes for the associate that was covering that department to show up after the page to find him, he found the measurements and began to cut the blinds to size. It took 65 minutes to cut 5 blinds and then he did not know how to complete the order. Spent another 20 minutes looking for the store manager in hopes that she would know how to access the record and complete the order. Left for dinner. Spent an hour at dinner with the understanding they would and quot;figure it outand quot; while we were gone. When we returned, nothing had taken place. It took 10 more minutes to find the associate that cut the blinds as he had the folder with measurements and all the records. Then the store manager involved herself and after another 30 minutes we have the manager, the customer service clerk, the associate that cut the blinds, the girl working flooring, a stockman, a second customer service rep and a cashier all hunched over the computer in the managers office trying to figure out how to complete this order. (there is a joke in here somewhere and quot;how many Lowes associates does it take to.......(you fill in the blank)and quot;) Probably in the future will go to the Home Depot store down the road.

They are an excellent business.  It is like an old-fashioned hardware store where you feel like you are in a family-run business where everybody cares about you.  They are all very friendly and helpful.

Intown Craftsmen represents an intelligent choice in home improvement. Russ Melton, owner, and his team are professional, accommodating, and skilled. Russ accommodated my schedule coming late in the evening to meet us and view the job. He offered fair pricing and a work schedule that proved to work for everyone. His team came on time, worked diligently and checked in along the way to get approval as the items on the 'punch list' were completed. The touch-up painting, carpentry (repair of hand rails on stairs), electrical work (outlets grounded, 3-way switch repaired, dishwasher wiring repaired), and finishing work were all done to complete satisfaction. Although there was no plumbing involved in this job, Russ has a complete staff of tradesmen to cover any need in home improvement. Russ guarantees his work. If there were any questions about a task detail, he made the changes to meet the expectations of his customer. Russ also provides a wealth of information for 'do it yourselfers.' He provided and explained the use of an electrical outlet function tool. He provided referrals to engage other professionals and to secure materials. I chose Intown Craftsmen based on feedback from customers who had done major renovations with this company. For Russ, no job is too small because my list contained several small items that were big problems for me. I have complete confidence in this company and will call them again for work to be done in the near future.

Nathan is friendly, helpful, and always does high quality work. He is always willing to try extra things if I ask. He is always willing to try whatever I request. He is not always prompt but it is not an issue for me.

I received estimated from a few vendors. They offered me a fair price with a great understanding so I hired them for the job. It went very well. The company who installed the unit was CoolRay. The installers were great and very nice.
