Horrible, it took an hour every time I came in on time to see the doctor and after the hour passed I was always assessed by a student in training that would ask me very general questions. After that I saw the doctor for like 5 minutes if that and was rushed out! This place is horrible and doesn't have your best interest. I went here for over a year and all of my appointments were like this. Every time I came to see the doctor for only 5 minutes, my whole time there was over an hour and half! Complete waste of time. Avoid this place!!

    Kaiser Permanente
It's real high level. The total package is very good but like all main care, there's a little bit of barrier to specialty care. I really need to see a hand surgeon and they're making it difficult. That'\s my only problem, otherwise, I like them. The pharmacy has a lot of pluses to it. It's open season now in healthcare and we have no intention to change.

    Emory Healthcare
They were trying to find out if it was my nerve that was doing that to me. I was seeing three doctors at the same time. They were giving me tests. They were just checking my nerves. They were Emory doctors. It was a painful time because it was in my head. It was right above my eyes in my head. They stuck something in there to look at my nerve. It is awful when it starts hurting. They didn't tell me anything. They told the doctor and she didn't really tell me anything either. She was the one who did the surgery and she was just trying to find out what else she needed to do for it. She didn't tell me exactly what it was. She just told me what they were doing. She was explaining what they did and why they did it. It was really information for her to treat me. Right now, she has given me a pill to take. I take it three times a day. The doctor who did the surgery on me was very knowledgeable. But the guys from the other department didn't talk to me. They just told me what they were going to do to me and what I needed to do. I guess they did what they were supposed to do. I like going to Emory because the people are nice. I guess that's what they train people to do. You don't have any problems with Emory. I haven't, and my husband hasn't either. Back in 1999, my doctors found that I had a brain tumor. I had to speak to a lot of doctors at Emory about that. They were the best. These were very good knowledgeable people and they were the best. They were able to help me out.

Dr. Greene is the least compassionate Dr. I have ever seen.  During my time seeing her it took days, sometimes weeks for a response regarding prescription refills or questions.  Her office staff is rude and does not seem to care about patient care.  My MRI reveled that I have benign brain tumor but she never disclosed this - I learned it from a second opinion.  While it is benign it will have to be watched and I should have been told.

To top that all off I had to come in for a visit to get a prescription refill.  I was 5 mins. late due to the fact I had to park farther away.  Having MS and balance issues I walk slower then I once did.  I sign in 5 mins late and after waiting 20 mins I am told the doctor won't see me because I was 5 mins late.  I have MS it was a bad day driving to the dr. and getting there was a big thing.  To be told I would have to reschedule because I was 5 mins. late is ridiculous and cruel.  The waiting room only had one other patient and it was not near lunch so this was just plain unprofessional.

    Piedmont Psychiatric Clinic
I called up and then sat for an hour and filled out 40 minutes of paperwork, paid $500 initial fee, met with Dr. Davis for 15 minutes. During this time, he failed to do Urinalysis or review paperwork, only had me sign a contract that gave him carte blanche. I was brought back four times at almost $200/visit, and charged extra for a prior authorization that was never completed, because he was unable to answer all questions required by insurance. Having worked inthe field, I knew he was bad news. He brought me back to address my concerns about benzodiazepine detox, only to fail to Rx me appropriate dosage. He also went through all my medications, taking some away without my consent, giving me a choice to keep 2 of 3 critical medications, unrelated to my withdrawal. After taking away all sleep med and anti-depressant, I nearly had myself committed. I wrote a letter to his office requesting refund or return of medication, and they denied receipt. THIS DR IS HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE HIM. SCAM!!

Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute Shepherd Center
It is a unique organization and they specialize only in MS. The symptoms tend to mimic so many other diseases that patients really have to go a group that absolutely positively specializes in MS because they are more familiar with what to look for. They also have MRI availability right there at the hospital. We have to look at the individual drugs and it's not a reflection on the doctor. It's whether or not the drugs affect the MS and right now, I'm at the point where I'm so allergic to the medications that I had to be taken off of them.

II worked hard to let my therapist work with me. I am hardheaded and a failed perfectionist. We talked for an hour about ways I can get back into the public and out of my room. I spend most of my time in my room and in my house. I have a driver and a maid who have instructions to get me out and go with me so I feel involved. I keep everything inside and hold it together. I'm great in emergencies but then once it's over, I shake, cry and forget to breathe. But I can take charge and usually make the right decisions. she urged me to value my abilities and to ease up on myself. I need more chances to use these skills and to allow myself to let down my hiding tendencies. the therapist is very direct and not passive which gives me the direction I need. The practice is very business like and maybe a little rigid. They for instance insist on payment before the appointment with no exceptions. With Mental Health sometimes a client needs to be seen when they are broke. My graduate work was in Pastoral Care and have done therapy with many people. I find my style is more supportive and comforting than the workers in this practice. Most of my medical care is thru the Emory Clinic but when I got Insurance there were few choices and I picked PACT Atlanta partly due to location. I've been seeing people from there for about 15 years. The Doctor has stayed stable but the therapists have changed several times. I don't feel drawn to them in crisis and would like to feel closer to them. As a and quot;stableand quot; manic depresive, They work for me but If I were unstable This wouldn't be enough support. Also I am AA member and have access to support thru them and for most situations that is enough. My worst manic breakthru has been under PCCT's care. I inherited a large amount of money two years ago and have spent ALL of it. It was a huge sum and Dr. Antin at PACT named it as a two year manic cycle. Like I was doomed to destroy it. I needed more care than was offered. A referral to them from me would be done relative of where the client is in need.

    Vaughn, Dr. Michael T.
(FYI, the name present here is not his real name, his name is Michael R. Vaughn, I am almost sure he changed on AL, which erased his reviews).
As I said I thought Mr. Vaughn understood. During the appt he asked me questions and I answered them, he was snide and arrogant but desperately needed my medications.
Almost immediately it began, my meds were not called in. The pharmacy called and faxed, I called over and over, I even wrote him a letter! He ignored everyone. I would call and beg, he never once corresponded with me. The withdrawals began during the second month, I began sleeping 20 hours a day or I couldn't sleep at all, no energy, lethargic, nauseous, and depressed, just emotionally and physically drained. By month 4 my husband suggested we just go to the hospital. In hysterics I called one more time and the receptionist gave my message to a Dr. Hutto, his partner, finally. He could only find notes for half (6) of my meds but after so long anything helped.
This man is dangerous, he could have made this right numerous times, I have read several reviews (after the fact) and most totally agree that Mr. Vaughn should have his license revoked. He has no concern for his patients, just the insurance money.

    Anderson, Dr. Walter F.
I have seen Dr. Anderson for over thirteen years for depression. I don't think anyone else could have done what he did for me, which was to not only keep me alive for all of these years but also enable me to live a full life and find happiness. Yes, I took antidepressants the entire time I saw him, but I also took antidepressants for all of my adult life before I saw him and ever since I left his care (because he's no longer in my insurance plan). He found the right antidepressant for me and helped me navigate my care from my other doctors, which was complicated by several chronic diseases and the medications required to control those.
I'm not certain my being alive today is a great benefit to mankind, but I am alive thanks to Dr. Anderson. I know my family and friends would have been and would be devastated if I had taken/took my own life, but Dr. Anderson gave me the tools so that that was not my only option. I am now equipped to handle what my lack of good health has and continues to cost me. I could have never reached this place without Dr. Anderson's constant and indefatigable help.
