Clock Repair reviews in Atlanta

Michael was very professional in evaluating the extense of repairs on 2 antique wall clocks. He provided budget friendly options on repairs of the clocks, for me to make a final decision. I was not in a rush for the repairs, and he managed to complete the repairs before my absolute deadline. I would highly recommend this shop for repairs and the support they provide for any emotional items you are considering to keep. They have the historical background of device and manufacturing materials used during that period. Informative and great experience.

Laure called me and walked me thru the troubleshooting of my issue. The issue was resolved without her coming out and without me transporting my grandfather clock to her. She was outstanding in servicing her customer which is hard to find anymore. I highly recommend using this company.

Bob was wonderful. His knowledge and willingness to share information was great. I knew nothing about the clock I purchased almost 10 years ago except that it had started winding down completely in only 3 to 4 days. He worked on it six days ago and it is behaving now and still has yet to wind down completely. It is important to have the piece cleaned every few years and I will be calling them again. (At least I now know which weight goes in which position!) Thanks Bob!

Experience was great.  I've already referred a friend or two.  I like that they came to my home to work on two antique and one high quality clock and did all the work on site.  Very professional, responsive and a decent price.  I would use them again and will refer people gladly.

We had a grandfather clock with some issues and two other antique clocks that required basic cleaning and oiling.   The work was done on time, as estimated for cost, and we were advised that grandfather clock may need additional work.  We're still observing it - it's way better after basic maintenance and I will be happy to call for a house call to do a bit more work if needed.  He also gave us insight into the value of two of the clocks and details about their lineage.  Nice job.

Return service on the clock was to be provided under "warrantly" as stated by Classic Clocks and noted on my paid receipt for original work performed in May 2014.
Dropped non-working clock off at service provider the first week of July 2015.  Was told it would be ready by July 30.  I called on July 31st and was told they had not worked on clock and that they would call me when ready.  I called again several weeks later and they still had not worked on clock.  When I called at the end of August, I was told the clock would not run (which I knew), and would I mind if some components were "switched-out".  I said that was fine as long as the clock would run and look the same. When I called back in the middle of September, I was told the clock was not running and would I mind if the "movement" was replaced.  I was a bit surprised because I thought that parts were being swapped out when I called previously, but was told "we decided to try something else instead".  I called again on October 26, only to learn that nothing had been replaced in the clock and that it was still not working.  I honestly feel that I was getting the run-around because this was warranty work and the shop did not stand to collect hundreds of dollars in repair fees.  When I expressed my frustration to the owner when picking up the clock on October 29 that parts had never been exchanged as I was told on two separate occasions (I don't know if he just did not remember asking me twice if I objected to replacement parts), he stated that I cleaned it and replaced the spring and " I had about 10 hours of work in the clock and it was still not running, and I felt that was enough time invested".  BEWARE.  You will not be provided with honest information when you call for updates. Their warranty claim is not good, their record keeping and recollection of prior conversations is totally lacking.  I would have been willing to pay for replacement parts, but was never given the chance to convey that to this business.
I took the clock immediately to another highly rated clock repair service.  I explained that the clock had been cleaned in May 2014 and again in October 2015 and was told that there was no way the clock had been cleaned in 2014, let alone this year.
Seek repair service any place other than CLASSIC CLOCKS!

Our mantle clock, which needed major repairs was done in an hour, and 3 of the watches returned to us in minutes. Great business-- we'll be going there from now on! Last time I got the mantle clock done I was charged twice the price and it took 6 weeks to get the clock back! This was outstanding service, where we were taught the ins and outs of our clocks and watches.

The entire process took a year from pickup to delivery.  He claimed he had to fabricate a part in his shop for the grandmother clock.  The grandmother clock runs fast, and gains an hour or so per week, making it useless.  The antique wall clock hour hand broke when I was winding it and is now a wall decoration.
I called several times to arrange a followup service which has not been done as of the date of this review.
I have hired another clockmaker to repair the clocks.

They were very nice, but after I told them the brand and what needed fixed, they told me that there's no part sand that they wouldn't be able to fix it. I appreciate their honesty & how courteous they were.

Laura did a great cleaning and overhauling my Seth Thomas grandfather clock. She was very professional and respectful when in my home. You can tell that Laura takes great pride in her work. The clock is running great. We received a one-year warranty for the work. We expect to have Laura perform the maintenance (cleaning and oiling) on the clock in the future. I highly recommend Laura.
