Chimney Cap Repair reviews in Atlanta

  • Devon and Casey were great, came out and took some measurements and were back within a few days to put the caps on. Unfortunately, the measurements were a bit off for one of the caps and they had to remanufacture it before they could install it. The guys were really awesome and came out on a Saturday so that the cap was installed before Tropical Storm Irma came through. They also took pictures of the installation so that I could see the work they did. Unfortunately for me, I found a few leaks along the chimney, post storm and at first I was concerned that maybe the flashing was damaged during the pan installation. Steve and the guys listen to my concerns and came back out to reinspect everything, which I really appreciated. They were completely willing to step up and take responsibility. Bad news for me was that the flashing wasn't properly sealed around the metal roof, Good news for them was that they did everything right. I would totally recommend these guys and if I have any more chimney needs, they'll be the first I call.

  • Joey was very knowledgeable and honest about what needed to be done (I had gotten another estimate which was very high and service was not necessary). It seems the company has a new owner so there was some confusion about scheduling and who would perform the work. But in the end, I was happy with the service provided.

  • I wanted to have my fireplace in my 100 yr old home safe for burning wood. The work Arvydas proposed was installing a stainless steel liner in the flue with top damper in the main fireplace, repair firebox, pointing chimney and crown, and installing a chimney cap, with a price of $3900. The day before work was scheduled to begin Arvydas notified me that he made another inspection and found that the masonry work needed on the chimney was more extensive than originally proposed and that the firebox brick were not fire brick; Therefore the price would be more like $5000. I was glad that he was able to ascertain the additional expense before beginning work. I had not budgeted for the higher amount and so decided it was best to not proceed, and to re-think my goal of having a functional main fireplace for wood burning-which may be aesthetically. pleasing but is not actually eco- friendly I have no doubt that Arvydas's work would have been top-notch, given his knowledge and experience.

  • As far as I can tell, the quality is fine. I won’t know anything until we have a fire in the fireplace so it will be in the winter. The guys were very polite and accommodating and seemed to know what they were doing. Again, we won’t know until we have a fire in the fireplace because they put a thing on the top of the chimney. It was a whole lot more than I expected.

  • My wife and I are thrilled with the nearly year-long project by All South Restoration. We are particularly pleased with the carpentry, wood, stone and tile flooring and major bathroom renovation. We also liked how All South worked through occasional challenges (to be expected on a very large project). We liked receiving detailed, email updates. We increased the scope of work during the project because we were happy with the work being done. We would engage All South Restoration again and we have already made a referral to friends. We did receive insurance reimbursement for portions of the house that was water damaged. All South Restoration went the extra mile to provide the insurance company with the paperwork necessary to get reimbursed, plus identified additional monies for reimbursement that the insurance adjuster had not identified.

  • Arvydas Didas measured the chimney and installed the cap about a week later. Got everything done well before closing and the cap is beautiful. I was able to pay with a credit card over the phone and received the receipt and a copy of the invoice the same day. Great service!

  • Initial inspection reveled that it's not going to be easy or cheap to get it done, hence the house it old and chimney was not being used, not it had a chimney cap = water damage :( We opted out to get the gas line ran to the fireplace and fire stones installed ! We also got a custom built chimney cap installed to protect our investment. Everything was done in little bit more than half of the day, which I think was great. Chimney cap was built prior and installed on the same day. I am very happy with the services and outcome of the project. I will definitely recommend them to anyone needing help with fireplace.

  • Matt Jones, the owner, is very responsive, knowledgeable about roofs, honest, courteous and fair.  He provided quotes on a timely basis and came in on budget.    Had 3 quotes for this type of roof, and although he was not the lowest, he was not the highest either.    His price was fair.  There are few roofers in this area that install Gerard metal roofs, and Matt and his crew are very knowledgeable and experienced with Gerard roofs.  The work is high quality, and Matt supervised the work closely to make sure it was done to his standards and in compliance with the manufacturer's warranty requirements.  His crew arrived on time, spoke English, were polite, and cleaned the location at the end of each day; they swept the yard and the driveway for nails.   The work took longer than we expected, but the work is very detailed and required a lot of cuts, so we would rather they do it right than rush the job.  We decided to install a new chimney cap, address some minor mortar gaps in our chimney masonry, and seal the masonry to make sure the chimney would not be a leak source. Matt did the work (as a change order) and his bill was substantially less than the chimney companies we called in for estimates.   We require a lien waiver, which Matt gladly agreed to (once payment was made and cleared).  He registered our lifetime, transferrable warranty with Gerard on our behalf too.  Our only concern has been the gutters were not cleaned as thoroughly as we thought at the end of the job, and Matt has offered to send his crew out to do that work.   Kudos!   By the way, Matt also installs asphalt shingle roofs. We are happy with the work and would gladly recommend Matt Jones of Advanced Systems.  By the way, the roof looks great too.

  • Because of water leaking inside our fireplace, we scheduled a service call with Chimney Solutions. Chip was on time, friendly, and clear with his explanation of our repair options. He emailed the promised paperwork instantly and was quick with his reply when we decided to schedule service. Larry arrived ten minutes early (wow!) to install the new cap and was finished in less than 30 minutes. He was also kind enough to make a phone call back to the office for permission to apply what we'd already paid for the service call toward our cap installation (even though the 30-day window had passed). Overall, this was a great experience!

  • This is a review added to my original review on 4/7/2016. On their first trip, they came to do a chimney sweep and inspection, but afterwards we didn't receive the pictures of the chimney that they promised. After I left a review, Hunter called me immediately to apologize and explain the situation of that day that the phone died out of battery. He then scheduled his crew to come out the same day to inspect our chimney again at no additional charge. His crew did a careful job to correctly identify the reason for our chimney leak, and also gave us a very reasonable estimate for repair. Two weeks later they came with the custom made chase pan and completed the repair. We are happy with the experience and satisfied with their work.
