Appliance Repair reviews in Atlanta

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They charge $75 to come out to the house, charged at the time of scheduling, not when the technician completes the evaluation. Person came to the house as scheduled, very professional, diagnosed a problem with our freezer door that needed a new part that would need to be ordered. She informed me that she would follow up early next week to schedule another visit as the part should not be hard to get. I never heard back. Over the next ~2-3 weeks I called three times, every time told that the repair technician would follow up with me in the next 1-2 days. I never got a call back. After around another week the technician did call and stated that she had been on vacation. Everyone needs time off, fair enough. We made a plan for her to come back the next week, and never showed up. Doesn't seem like there is any real interest in completing my service request, rather that they are hoping that I will just stop calling.

  • I received a call a few hours after I placed an on-line request. Work was scheduled and technician was able to come a couple of hours early. He spent a good amount of time diagnosing the problem and came up with a solution. He was courteous and knowledgeable. Recommend highly!

  • This company deserves no stars, but one is the minimum on the BBB website. Our story with them is so long and convoluted that I cannot tell it all on this website. In summary, they don't show up when they promise, they lie to you about the status of a repair and they are overall dishonest. The damaged a clothes dryer that they were not even scheduled to repair(they repaired a washer). They took the dryer away to repair and it took 2 MONTHS for them to tell us that it was unrepairable. They offered $400 to pay for the dryer they damaged. They dryer cost us $1000 so we refused the low ball offer, they referred us to their insurance company who denied a claim and now they will not take our call. In the meantime, we had to buy a new dryer because of their negligence.

  • Best electronics is a contractor to a Brandsmart retailer in the Atlanta area for appliance repair. In this case, the retailer assigned Best Electronics to our dryer repair. Best Electronics gives very wide windows for the time in which they would appear, about 4-5 hours. For the three times in a row, the dispatcher literally called us 1 minute for the time on the window expired letting us know that the repair person would either be late or not coming. On the last attempt, the dispatcher literally called us 1.5 hours after the window, at 8:30 p.m., which is unacceptable. The repair is still not completed. Furthermore, the dispatcher was extremely rude to my wife and should try an other line of business that does not require speaking directly with customers. After not showing up three times in a row, the dispatcher told my wife: "Do you think you're the only customer we have." "We can't do anything about traffic." This is just a sampling of the rude treatment we were given. We were very gracious to Best Electronics and rescheduled with them twice, but they could not care less about customer service. I cannot imagine how this company will stay in business much longer if it continues to operate in this manner

  • A technician named Labon came out the day after I called. He diagnosed the problem as pump failure--needing a replacement. I paid a deposit of $100 on a $233 dollar estimate to replace the pump. It needed to be ordered from the manufacturer and was estimated to be in in around 4-5 days. After waiting over a week with no word I reached out to the technician who assured me the part would be in soon. After a couple more days and after speaking with him again, the part was still not delivered and I could not be provided with a delivery date. With his knowledge, I went ahead and ordered the part myself, cancelling the order and requesting a refund. Via text message, the technician agreed to refund the full $100 deposit. This was on June 13th. He then said on 3 separate occasions that he would send the check (the first 2 "got lost in the mail.") It is now July 18th and I have received no refund and he has stopped replying to my messages. I have written proof of all quotes and communications. As a side note, I disassembled the pump in order to replace it and found it was not broken--a piece of glass was jamming it. It did not need replacing.

  • We were very pleased with this company and the service we got. He was very quick in calling us to set up an appointment; very professional and fixed our refrigerator with no problems. We will definitely call him again for all our appliance service. Thank you Angie’s List!

  • They showed up two hours later than the prescribed 3 hour window (showed up after four when they said they would be there between 11 and 2). Then they quoted us $100 more to fix our fridge than the people we actually used. I asked for a refund of the $50 they charged to inspect the fridge because they were two hours late, but have received no response. Definitely won't be using them again.

  • The owner, Mr. Williams, provided prompt, efficient, and reliable service when my washing machine stopped working. I was able to call his office and he fixed my machine within 24 hours! He was polite and professional. I was very pleased with his service and will definitely use him again in the future!

  • When I contacted the company, they did come as scheduled due to short notice. They replaced a thermostat and tested it to see that it heat up. We didn't use the dryer at all until 3 days later and when we did, it stopped heating after 3 loads. They came back out and found out the original issue was the heater needed replacing. The tech initially charged me $184.45 for the first visit and $100 for the second visit (second visit was suppose to be part only fee). I found out from my warranty company that the second visit I was over charge since the heater part for my dryer is on $15 and they charged me $85 trip fee!! I was reimbursed by my warranty company for the full amount of the first visit, but nothing on the second. This is not good business practice to customers and will not be a repeat customer going forward.

  • Ron, my serviceman & co partner in the company did an excellent job in diagnosing and replacing the parts. I was concerned about this company because of the B rating on Angie's List but did not find any issues with quick response time and reasonable pricing for the repair. I would recommend this company for future work.
