ALinda was very accommodating, my Aussie is a rescue and very skittish. Linda worked with me and allowed me to stay for the first grooming to reassure my fella that he was in good hands. I'll definitely be taking him back. Yes, I would recommend this groomer.

AI have had the pleasure of having housekeeping services from Crystal Watson, business owner of Queens of Clean, for the past year and a half. It goes without saying that her cleaning skills are top notch and thorough. It is such a treat to come home to a sparkling fresh house after she has worked her magic. More importantly, though, Crystal is a reliable and trustworthy person to have in my house. I know she is taking care of it as I would if I had the time. She is great with my pets and gives them a little extra attention while doing her work. I have two cats that like to lick the floor of my bathtubs from time to time. When Crystal first started cleaning my house I asked that she shut the bathroom doors after being cleaned, because I was afraid my two cats would accidentally lick a newly cleaned bathtub and ingest cleaning chemicals. Crystal has never ever forgotten to do this. That means the world to me. She has amazing energy and it is obvious her love of life and family shapes who she is as a business woman. Hiring Crystal and Queens of Clean is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

We are a small kennel offering boarding and grooming services with a focus on the needs of each individual pet.
Recent Review:
A2017: My dog was well treated and did not exhibit any negative reactions to the kennel. I rated the kennel a 4 rather than 5 on Quality because: the small dogs are in stacked cages not floor-level pens, and the exercise "yard" is quite limited for my 22 pound Min Schnauzer who loves to stretch her legs and race around in a large space when possible. This kennel's yard is probably adequate for small, less active dogs. I rated a 4 rather than 5 on price because: even though I brought her food and treats and she stayed almost 2 weeks (no checking in and out), there was no discount on the daily price. I gave an Overall 5 because of the owners' identify with and ability to control yet compassionate approach to their charges which made for a relaxed and welcoming environment. 2018: the groomer did a nice job on my Min Schnauzer's grooming -- not appropriate for a show dog, but my dog isn't a show dog.

AMatthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

AWonderful and kind lady / extremely fantastic service. Our experience with Jamie/Groom with a View was extremely positive – She was warm, friendly & knowledgeable. She groomed Dexter (a standard poodle) exactly as we had wanted. This was our first time w/ her. She seems to have a special connection w/ dogs (& people too.) She was able to provide advanced options which require a greater degree of difficulty (e.g. inner ear work, anal gland and dremel nail work (not easy on a skittish poodle.) We feel very lucky to have found her & would recommend to others without hesitation.

AI recently took my two West Highland White Terriers to Canine Shear Heaven for complete grooms. This was my first experience with the business and I must say the professionalism, the care shown for my older dogs and the actual grooms were exceptional. The appointment was scheduled with an arrival window of 8:00 to 10:00 AM and a pickup time of 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, the groomer, Snow, asked relevant and important questions about my grooming preferences, health issues, and also addressed my concerns about my elderly (13 years of age) female. We received a phone call from Martha, the owner, at 1:30 PM advising that Snow was running a few minutes behind as she was taking extra care because of my female dog's fragile knees and shoulders. This was perfectly fine as we were sitting dead on Hendersonville Road in a traffic jam! We picked the dogs up at 2:45 PM and my male dog, who is usually standoffish with strangers was absolutely enthralled with Snow and seemed content and happy. Both dogs appeared to be calm and comfortable with their surroundings and with the employees who had handled them. The actual Westie cuts were excellent and my male sported a red bandana and my female had a red bow at her ear! Nails were trimmed, ears cleaned, and above all...my dirty dogs were white again. I booked a follow-up appointment on the spot. My sincere thanks to Snow and Martha for a job well done!!

BMy small breed dog was showing blood in her stool and diarrhea. The Vet there said 'some dogs just have this and not to worry much about it". I think if it was blood in the Vet's stool, she would not have been so casual about it. Took my little dog to Animal Hospital of North Asheville. They are extremely professional and Dr. Kasandra Garner's treatment for my dog's colitis was spot on. My dogger still has a little colitis, but it has mostly cleared up with proper diet.

FMany complaints thru the years, but never acted on them until latest encounter. Decided to complain to Dr. about service and he attacked my personal character instead of addressing the service. New techs every time we visited. All of these finally convinced me that I needed to seek a new vet for my dog. Then learned from my neighbor that he did not control her young dog’s diabetes resulting in her dog having to receive cataract and implant surgery.

Asheville's First Do-It-Yourself Dog Wash now features Sleepy Dog Boarding and Day Care.
Recent Review:
AThe Soapy Dog is a do-it-yourself dog wash. They provide the tubs and shampoo and all the accessories you need to bathe your dog. My dog weighs 120 lbs, so he is not welcome at most groomers. And I can't imagine what I would have to pay to have a groomer bathe him.
I recently took my dog to the Soapy Dog after a particularly muddy playday at the Dog Park. He was filthy and smelled terrible. The staff was very sweet to my dog (his name is Riley!) and was very helpful to me insofar as suggesting the best shampoo to use, recommending I put on an apron (so I wouldn't get so wet while bathing him), and suggesting I use a rubber brush while I was bathing him so the shampoo could get down to his skin (he has a very thick coat). They also checked in on me periodically, to see if I needed anything. The shampoos they use are all-natural and, I think, start out as a concentrate. They dilute the concentrate, and you are encouraged to use all you need to make sure your dog gets clean. We were there for a while, and I never felt rushed or that we were being hurried along. Despite the fact that it was a Saturday and they were pretty busy. When I was done, I toweled him off (it took 3 towels!), and they offered to let me use their dryer on him. I've tried to dry him with a regular hair dryer at home and I never get him completely dry. Their professional dryer did a great job in no time. There was dog hair everywhere when I was done - on the floor, on the walls, and on me (thank god for that apron!). They happily cleaned all that mess up. So much easier than trying to bathe a dog at home.
I highly recommend The Soapy Dog. And their close proximity to the Dog Park off Amboy Road is a plus.

CSunshine Dog HouseWe had Abbie our German shepherd groomed at sunshine. The first time we were very pleased, she was clean and shedded and felt really good. The second time, her head smelled, and she was still shedding when we got her home. She looked fluffy and not smooth. When I called to complain that we weren’t pleased with the job, whoever answered, I think Amy, made no effort to respond and didn’t even say she was sorry. I have an appointment t for my other dog and I will cancel it. Just an I’m sorry or some offer to make it right, would have helped. I won’t recommend them to anyone now.- Lyssa C.

AAIRPORT KENNEL COWe have been boarding our BIG German Shepherd, Atticus, here on and off for years and he absolutely LOVES it. They seem to treat the animals very well and care about what they do. I love that the dogs have room to roam and that the folks there seem to have a good handle on how to treat different dogs and their various quirks and personalities. An added bonus is the in-house grooming and their online booking system.- Bonnie M.
