Land Surveying reviews in Asheville

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Tom is the ultimate professional. He was responsive and quick with our initial email exchanges and provided a complete timeline and explanation of his services. He provided a sound and reasonable quote but also shared that there could be additional costs as the most recent plat of the neighborhood was completed in 1927. Although this did not materialize, we appreciated his upfront and honest approach to find the best solution. He arrived on time as scheduled to complete the survey and was thorough, methodical and answered all of our questions. We would highly recommend Tom and would utilize his services in the future if the need arises.

  • Tom did a great job. I was impressed with his knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism.  He is very competent  and I would recommend him highly.  For another $75, he reported his results to the city of Asheville so all is documented. Could not be more pleased.

  • Tom was professional,  and accommodated the dates needed for surveying the property to coordinate with fencing schedule. Well priced, excellent communication and marked property clearly in multiple areas.  Would HIGHLY recommend and will use again. Best surveying experience ever!

  • Danny and his crew arrived on time.  They courteous and professional in manner.  Work was completed in one and one half hours and the result was much to my satisfaction.  At issue was a tree that needed felling.  I can now move ahead without worry about ownership.

  • Ken Mills and Dennis Campbell surveyed my home property of which there are three lots, Ken led the charge. The lots have many angles and turns and after having read Ken and Dennis's credentials on their website, I knew these were the folks I wanted doing the work. They were meticulous and cut no corners, extremely professional (and patient, I shadowed Ken asking many questions along the way) and absolute gentlemen. All corners were marked and linear (lot line) indicators (stakes) placed where requested where line of sight from corner to corner was blocked by elevation or some obstacle. The survey included a physically executed tie-in (using instruments) to the applicable NGS Geodetic marker for the area (some four blocks away, it was amazing to watch them make their way up the street with instruments). I was given copies (24" x 36" printout) of the survey when completed. The records on file at the Buncombe County Registrar of Deeds were reviewed and tightened up where needed. This is the team to use, I am extremely satisfied in all respects with the work and service Ken and Dennis provided.

  • I requested the services of Mulloy Land Surveying to identify my property lines, and to provide the necessary survey (and set-back) information needed to build an addition.
Tom Mulloy, of Mulloy Land Surveying, was prompt with returning all of my emails and calls. While confirming my appointment, Tom was friendly and professional. He asked for clarification of my needs, and he made a point to express what surveying services would/could be provided. He also directed me to his website to view a sample of his work. Prior to my appointment, Tom perused our property, and gave us an estimate for his services. Though I was initially disappointed that I had to wait a while before he was available to do the survey, I soon understood why.
Tom is exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. On the day of my appointment, he arrived at my home, confirmed my expectations for the survey, and then he went straight to work. Tom answered all of my impromptu questions with patience, and he gave me informative explanations about the markers placed on our property.
After taking the care and time to collect the necessary information, and (even) hacking through some thick brush to place the appropriate markers and stakes, Tom spoke with me once again to tell me when I should expect my survey.
Within a couple of days--a very quick turn-around--I received my survey (as promised) in the electronic format requested by my draftsman, and I received the "hard copy" of the survey a short time after.
I am very pleased with the survey I received from Mulloy Land Surveying, and I would definitely recommend Tom to others.

  • Tom was punctual, up front about his price, and very professional in every sense of the word.  The easement survey was quickly finished and the price was fantastic.  Highly recommend Tom if you have any surveying work to be completed.

  • I called Danny after 6pm and he got back to me the same night. And he was able to mark the corners of my property the next day (which he said is not something he's normally able to do so fast). His price was half that of the other guy who I got a quote from.

  • I chose Mulloy Land Surveying based on its reviews on Angie's list after a previous surveyor (recommended by a friend) let me down.
Tom was quick and efficient.  He took just a week from my contacting him to doing the job.  He surveyed my property -- which is in an old neighborhood and therefore potentially fraught with difficulty finding old markers placed up to 100 years ago, etc. -- in less than one day.  One follow-up day required 1/2 hour of work placing markers.
Communication was excellent; Tom did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it.  If something came up and he had a delay (1 day in my case), he promptly called me to reschedule.
Tom has a cheery attitude and was friendly with me and my neighbors while he conducted his work.
The product was excellent: clear and prompt .  I had a plat (paper and electronic version) of my property within about 2 days of Tom starting the survey.
Price was $50.00 or more less than the quotes I had received from other surveyor companies.
Stellar job and great value.  Very highly recommended.

  • I called on 3 October for services to be performed and was told they would be performed and quot;at the end of next weekand quot;. I called again 5 days later to be sure that they understood what exactly I needed, and sent them an email with supplemental information they requested. They said they understood, were courteous on the phone, but I have not heard back from them since (over a month ago). Bottom line is I can't comment on the quality of their work, just that they didn't follow through on what they said they would do. I understand that people are busy and can't always meet their obligations on time, however I think it is reasonable to expect that if someone can't do the work or do the work on time that they communicate. I have since received service from another provider who has been prompt in communication and performed excellent service.
