"I have taken classes for over 25 years and my family has been involved with the studio for over 40 years! This is a fabulous studio, which has wonderful recital" performances that are the best I have seen around.

-Matthew O.

"My daughter learned more in her first two months at than she did in two years at our previous studio. The teachers are thorough in teaching" technique and were able to quickly correct the bad habits my daughter had picked up at our old studio. This studio is all about offering as many opportunities as possible to each child. My daughter competed in 6 dance competitions (2 groups and a solo) performed in 15 routines at recital, danced in the Christmas musical, and tumbled in the Christmas parade. She just turned 7 years old. This studio does well at competitions and brings home many trophies. My daughter won 4 trophies for her solo, one of which was first overall. There are no teacher pets at this studio. Everyone is treated fairly. The payment system is computerized and she accepts credit/debit cards for payment. There are two lobbies, snack/drink machines, and 3 restrooms. They offer after school pickup at local schools. I cannot say enough about how much my daughter has learned at this dance studio. The end of year recitals are held at the trade center with unlimited seating and free admission for an unlimited number of friends and family. The facility includes 2 dance studios in the main building with an additional studio next door to be used for extra practices during competition season. There are mirrors in all the studios. One studio has a professional dance floor. They own a tumble track trampoline which is proactively used during classes with a teacher on the spotting the students. There is also thick tumbling mats, ballet barres in both rooms, and gymnastic bars and beams available to use as needed. The building is properly heated and cooled.

Dance Studio reviews in Asheville

I've been going to the Promenade for a couple of years and am a big fan as a space for lessons, practice time, and social dancing. The owner, , is very nice and there are dance classes every evening -- except Sunday, when lessons are in the early afternoon. One of my favorite things that they do is beginner boot camp on ...More Friday nights. For $15, you can get two 30-minute beginner lessons, a 60-minute intermediate lesson, and 3 hours of social dance time. (Also, active duty and retired military are free on Friday nights.) For inexperienced dancers, it's a great time to learn, and for more experienced dancers, it's a great time to practice and share what you know with those who are less experienced. They also sell dance shoes and "bling".
Some of the other things that I like about it:
- ample, well-lit parking,
- the music is not so loud that you have to yell over it,
- it's not far off the beltway, and
- they don't sell alcohol.

I've been taking dance lessons with for more than 6 years now and have gotten hooked on his classes. He obviously loves dancing and instructing dance, and would benefit dance students of any experience level. He's an incredible dancer-- watching him dance is watching living art. His assistant, ...More , is also a beautiful dancer and keeps everything well organized.
is definitely more focused on making sure that you get the right technique on a few basic steps before moving on rather than rushing you through a bunch of steps. He will correct you but not in a harsh way. As you progress, he will teach you more nuances of technique that will help you in every dance you study. He's also got an off-beat sense of humor that I enjoy (your mileage may vary).
In addition to classes through Community College in Mt. , he teaches at Promenade in Mill a couple of times a month and usually at least a few of his students will come out on those nights to practice together. and take the time to dance with and coach them during the social dance time. If you're unsure about taking a class, this would be a good place to meet them and get a feel for what they are like.
There are several excellent instructors in the area but & are my favorites.

My husband and I had never danced together, prior to our lessons with . We wanted to learn to dance for our son's wedding. taught us how to do the Foxtrot. was so patient with us. He was friendly and accepting of our lack of skills. He made us feel like we could do what ...More he was asking us to do. made it fun. He made sure that we understood what he was asking us to do. He would dance with either of us to help us with the different dance steps. helped us to get enough confidence to dance in front of our friends and family at the wedding. After the wedding, I started taking individual dance lessons with . I started learning how to do the West Coast Swing. motivated me to do my best. He continued to make the lessons fun and exciting. I even agreed to do a performance at the Christmas party with . Our dance went well and I was so proud of myself. I have also taken group dance lessons with and his wife, Hailee. They work well as a couple of dance instructors. works with the men and Hailee works with the women. They give individual help to their students. Each week, you look forward to the next week's lesson. I continue to take individual lessons with . He taught me how to do the East Coast Swing. and I performed a routine at the Summer Festival. has helped me to go from a person that could not dance to a person that has the confidence to perform in a public venue. teaches all types of dance lessons.

Very well. Courteous, professional, timely. One day needed for A/C work. Half-day for duct cleaning.
Overall excellent experience.

, taught my husband and me how to dance the Foxtrot for our son's wedding. We had never danced before. It was a new experience for both of us. At the wedding we were able to dance without concerns of making a fool of ourselves. was so patient with us. He took his time to teach us each step of ...More the dance. is so positive and caring about his students.
After the wedding, I chose to have individual dance lessons. taught me to do the West Coast Swing. He worked with me and taught me not only the dance itself, but also a West Coast Swing dance routine. and I performed it at the Christmas Party. Due to 's expertise and support I felt confident enough to perform in front of my friends and family.
and his wife, Hailee teach all forms of dance lessons .Hailee is also an expert instructor. Both Hailee and teach you to be comprtable whlle you are learning to dance. Not only do they teach individual lessons, but they teach group lessons at $10.00 an hour. I have taken private and group lessons from the Studio.. I have taken lessons in Ballroom dancing, the , East Coast Swing, the Salsa, and the . There are many more that I haven't gotten to yet.
and Hailee are very skilled in their field of dance. They have won several first and second place trophies at major dance competition. They use all this knowledge and concern for their students .You can't help to do your best with these great dancers.I strongly recommend the Home studio. and Hailee's Home Dance Studio is at Melance Dance and Events. It is located at 5636 "Drive, Mission , KS 66202
and Hailee can work together and teach as s couple, or they can each teach a lesson by themselves. Either way you are getting th best instructors in KC.

We had a great time and have returned for additional classes. We have learned so much and are confident on the dance floor. Would definitely recommend for beginners and more advanced students.
- Jerry W.

The instructor announced that he thought (after several lessons that I was ready to learn a competition style dance. He carefully and patiently guided me through the steps with lots of positive reinforcement!
- Margaret H.

They have helped fellows learning to live , breaking down, rather breaking series and the really help series with great dances and dancing I mean social dancing. I think they are just fantastic. And I have been going taking lessons for four years and I am going to continue taking lessons with them.
