ABlue Way ConcreteBlue Way Concrete did an exceptional job with our project. They were by far the best company we have ever worked with. We had a very old concrete driveway, parking pad and porch/walkway which needed to be removed. We had a new concrete ribbon driveway, porch and walkway installed by Blue Way. I was contacted within 24 hours of requesting a quote on Angie’s List. Felipe then came out to the house and took detailed notes and measurements. He was the only contractor (out of 4 companies) that arrived for a quote with a mask. We received our quote within a timely manner. The quote contained a detailed drawing along with a extensive breakdown of all labor and materials. It also contained information on what to expect during the project and a photo of the pea gravel that we requested. When there was a question on a measurement, Felipe and Kati arrived back out the same day and sent a revised quote within 24 hours. Blue Way's quote was very competitive and because of their detailed quote, reviews and professionalism we hired Blue Way. Felipe stayed in touch with me before the project started and gave me updates on times and work during the project. The crew leaders kept us informed on the work and made sure to get our input on any questions that arose. The crew always arrived on time. They were courteous, friendly, very efficient and always cleaned up. Because a bobcat was needed to demo the existing concrete, we knew there may be some damage to our lawn. Rolando made sure to lessen the damage by following his tracks and not damaging more of the yard than needed. The project was completed within a day of the timeframe given at the start of the project. We are extremely happy with the work Blue Way Concrete provided and we would highly recommend them.- Barbara V.

ABlue Way ConcreteThe Astronomy Club of Asheville contracted with Blue Way Concrete to install a concrete observing pad at our observatory in Madison County (about 36’ X 14’). We could not be more pleased with Blue Way. Their attention to detail was immediately evident in the way the prepared and delivered the estimate and it was the lowest we received. The work crew was very skilled, professional and extremely hard working. Communications with Blue Way were always fast and efficient. We would not hesitate to use Blue Way Concrete again.- THOMAS E.

AA+ Home ImprovementsA+ Home Improvements came to us highly recommended by a number of former customers. Recommendations were super positive and so was our experience. Project took a number of weeks, and we were very happy with the team, their design and execution talent, and daily clean up. Finished work has been toured by a number of neighbors, and everyone sings the praises of this local company.- Phil B.

BZR landscaping and GradingWe wanted some landscaping done on the front of our house where previous landscaping was done. We wanted new sun tolerant bushes and removal of other bushes. We also wanted weed barrier, jut matting, and mulch. I contacted Zac and he sent out Roger who took our information and told us that he would get back with a quote. We had the quote 2 days later. We had to wait until April to get the work done due to Winter. The work started on April 1st. It was supposed to take 2 days but took 3...no big deal. I was home half a day for the first day, the end of the day on the second, and all day for the last. It started out great, but then turned a little south on the second day. Roger was our foreman. He was nice, but was on the phone a lot in his truck, or doing paperwork, or left a lot and the guys were there alone. On the second night before Roger left he told me that they had some plastic barrier pieces left over from another job that they placed on our landscaping to help keep the mulch up. We are on a pretty steep hill so I thought that was a nice touch along with the jut matting underneath. He also told me that the plants would be watered before the guys left. Well, the plants never got watered and the barriers that he placed were put on top of the slippery black weed barrier and not on top of the jut matting. He decided not to put jut matting in a spot, (I guess, to see how it would work). When I went outside to check on everything after they left I could see black underneath the much. I moved the mulch and there was no jut matting. When I got home the next day they had covered the whole area with mulch and you could see where it was falling down the hill exposing the black weed barrier. I asked him about it and he said that was where they put the plastic barriers. I said, that is not working and made them move all the mulch off the barrier and put the jut matting down. The last day I was home the whole day. I had noticed in the morning that on the last area they had a strip of jut matting and then nothing, then another strip and then nothing. He saw me and asked if I was going to be home the whole day, and I said yes. His face sort of lost a little expression. I then asked about the jut matting and why it was not covering the whole hill like we asked and paid for. His excuse was that he misquoted us and had went over budget on the jut matting. So instead of doing it right he was going to rip us off, thus the lack luster look when I said that I was going to be home. Well, I made them put the jut matting everywhere and then he watered the plants and was done. Some of our plants died after the frost, but would have anyway because they were not heat tolerant. Nowhere on the hill is there one bit of shade. That is why we wanted heat tolerant plants. Spoke with Zac and he said that he would send another foreman out and that he would come out 45 mins after they got there to remove some plants. He did not show up so only 3 were replaced since the new foreman did not know what the other plants that were not heat tolerant looked like. They ended up giving us 6 plants for free. Forgot to mention that one tree and 4 plants were not brought, but I was going to get charged the full price with Roger. I deducted the amount and paid for what we got. All in all Zac made it right but I would watch out if you have Roger for the foreman. Jason was our second foreman and the guys loved working for him. I appreciated him also. Thank you Zac for making it right. I would definitely use your company again without Roger.- Sheila H.

AZR landscaping and GradingFantastic folks. Al and his team were highly professional, attentive to detail, on budget, and on time. They replaced my leaning retaining wall, concrete steps, and the elevated portion of my driveway with a much more substantial work of art. We are extremely happy with the results. Highly recommended.- Jesse L.

In 2003, my father introduced me to the concrete world. In that time, I learned how to layout, dig, bend and install steel reinforcements for footings. Also, I was taught to design, form, and finish flat work. Lately, I have worked a lot with pour-in-place concrete walls. In 2004, one of my four brothers, Rolando, joined us, and then my other brother, Hugo, in 2005. We all worked together with my father as our leader for a time, before eventually leading our own paths. During the crash of 20...
