    Quality Contractors
We recently had Quality Concrete Contractors install a driveway at our home in North Asheville and we couldn't be more thrilled with the result. Mike and his whole crew were outstanding with communicating every step of the way. There were a few challenges with our lot and design, but Mike diligently worked with all parties involved to make sure the inspections and approvals went smoothly. The end result is gorgeous!

We are super happy with the outcome. Our house is so beautiful! I always felt safe and comfortable with all the people that came into our house. You need to keep on top of Chris so you know what is going on next( which project is going on next and when).

Initial inquiry was answered promptly along with an appointment to assess the problem. Assessment was thorough and an estimate of cost and schedule were given shortly therafter. Work was scheduled earlier than projected and completed within the 1-day timeframe that had been projected. Workmen arrived promptly, worked quickly, and obviously were "pros" as was the concrete truck driver. Owner Mike, supervised at intervals. Follow up frame removal and check were done the next day. We could not have been more satisfied with the whole experience and look forward to having a safe driveway agaain.

Quality Contractors did a great job for us and I wanted to share with others. They did exactly what they said they would do and for the quoted price. Beautiful sidewalks with perfect finishes. Made little mess but cleaned up afterwards. We will definitely be calling on them again.

My hats off to this crew. They took care of everything from permits to a possible drainage problem. I have a 6-car driveway that had sunken over time. Quality Contractors took up and removed the old, diagnosed the issue, fixed a drainage tube, delivered and smoothed 3 dump trucks of fill material, framed - poured and finished the cement all in 2 days. My neighbors remarked how respectful the crew was and how nice the finished drive looked. Mike (owner) and Kim (superv) made sure to answer all of my questions and continued to take care of post-pour things like grass seed, even after I made final payment. These guys aren't the cheapest in town, but what I got was worth the price.

Mike & Quality Contractors provided a pleasant and professional experience from start to finish. Every question I had was answered and the final product did not disappoint! Mike stayed in touch with me regularly prior to and after the driveway was completed. The final product was everything I dreamed of! I will be using Mike and his company again for sure! Highly recommended!

    Appalachian Paving and Concrete Inc
I received a dismissive response from someone in their office. "Thank you for your email requesting an estimate for your driveway. Unfortunately, we are completely booked through the summer 2017. Due to our overloaded schedule, we are unable to provide any estimates at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience and regret that we are unable to assist you with your project. If you should require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask. Have a wonderful day!" Seriously what kind of company can't be bothered to let a potential client have the option of a future estimate. In our case we weren't in a hurry at all. However, this company doesn't care at all. They are lucky. We received their contact from Asheville's largest realty group. I have since shared my experience with the principals of that firm and was assured that Appalachian will no longer be recommended. A tragic simple customer service failure.

The work was performed on time and within budget. Ryan and his team did a excellent job. There were a few unexpected obstacles as the work progressed, but Ryan assessed the situation and found a excellent resolution resulting in a beautiful results, and saved me money all at the same time. They were dedicated to meeting my timeline for completion and they successfully stayed on schedule, even working on 4th of July, to finish the job. I recommend Ryan and his team for any customer needs.

Would NOT recommend at all! Initial contract was for a 24x25 slab for a garage, $1900 for labor, his estimate was $1700 for materials (to be paid for by me) when he ordered the first load of gravel he underestimated the quantity needed which would have thrown the job out of budget, so we reduced the slab size to 20x25. The final cost of materials was 2537.20, over $800 more than his estimate for a smaller slab The final product was a slab that starting from the high corner was out of level 4 , 6 and 6 1/2 going counter clockwise to the other corners and nothing flat between those points! (obviously, a level was never used on this job!). Also, no footer was put on the adjusted side (going from the 24 to 20 width) or the front. I ended up with an unusable slab, about $900 over his original estimate of cost, with inadequate footers that cracked down the middle within 2 months. (Im not even sure he ordered the concrete with the fiber like he was supposed to, since you can usually see traces of it on the edges and surface of a slab that it is in.) With trash left behind, a form board half buried left behind, concrete cowpies left in the yard. Completely unprofessional, useless job!

    Gibson's Grading And Construction
After David assessed the damage, he gave me a complete and detailed estimate of the work to be done. As it turned out, the cracks were present because there was no footer in two 8 foot sections of the house. He knew about the first one but not the second. This was important, for the reason that he did not change his charges for the work. He even found three other problems that needed repair, and charged for neither! I feel fortunate that he is a civil engineer rather than simply a contractor because of the nature of the project, yet he was able to describe the work to be done in terms a layman can understand Being an engineer, he is a perfectionist, that is, he made sure that the job was done correctly. In addition, he apprised me of the progress throughout the seven days it took. As well, he provided me with pictures of the work from the crawl space. His communication skills are, simply put, excellent. Furthermore, his manner remained pleasant, personable and professional, despite the fact that he had to drag 4 cubic yards of concrete, bag by bag, into the crawl space, mix and pour, and attach the new footers to the old ones with rebar. In sum, it is hard to believe that I was able to have someone who performed a job like this so accurately, professionally, and by a person who is so pleasant to work with and dedicated to his work. If I have the misfortune to have a similar problem in the future, Id hire him in a heartbeat.
