Chimney Cap Repair reviews in Asheville

Provider name locked. (the owner of the company,) and his partner Provider name locked. were both extremely knowlegable about ALL aspects of chimney work. They know everything one can know about them I believe! Every question I had for them, (and I had MANY!!) they would answer in an appropriate manner and explained to me things I didn't understand.
One of our chimney's hadn't been cleaned in years; it was used for burning coal and had been sealed off for many, many years. Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. used this high tech device to see what was inside the chimney and they found some bricks that were supposed to be attached by Provider name locked. , but the Provider name locked. over the years had turned to dust!
This surprizing "turn of events" didn't phase them at all and they took great care to ensure that they could safely and properly remove the bricks and clean out the chimney.
We have already hired them to come back and put in a stainless steel liner in the front chimney so we can have a wood burning Provider name locked. in front of the shallow fireplace.
I usually don't write review, but I made an exception. I am a Type A personality when it comes to wanting people who will take great care in doing repairs on our home. I pestered them with questions and when they came, I knew I was in such good hands I could just leave them alone and know that all the work they were doing would be done expertly. They also did a fine job in preventing all the black coal that was in the chimney from coming into our living room too!
Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. are both very smart, college educated and definately know what they are doing!

A neighbor had telephoned to tell me that I had a small shrub growing out the top of one chimney flue. I live in a 1917 bungalow. Provider name locked. responded most quickly for an estimate, showing up the next day. The other two contractors weren't able to come by until later the following week.
After inspecting both chimneys and all flues as well as the furnace in the crawlspace basement, Provider name locked. explained that the Provider name locked. fix would be to simply cap the four open flues, both used and unused, but that the longer-term solution would be to insert a steel flue liner as well as a cap. The second chimney already had this for the flue to the gas fireplace. I opted for the liner alternative — best to do the job properly.
They scheduled the work for 14 days out, which suited my schedule. They called 3 days later to say that they had an unexpected opening if I wanted the work done the next day. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take them up on the offer. The scheduled day, they arrived as scheduled first thing in the morning. Within a few hours, they were finished (reducing the original estimate by a couple hundred because the work had gone so quickly and smoothly).
I did have —because I always do— several technical questions. They answered all of them fully and clearly. Great, efficient, and exceedingly affable fellows. I heartily recommend them and would hire them again without hesitation.

Initially everything looked good, upon further inspection, they only cleaned 3 sides of the exterior of the chimneys. The gas log install went well. 1 of the glass door sets came in approximately 4 months after the promise date. They blamed the manufacturer. Then it was discovered that they ordered the wrong door. They became frustrated and opted out, returned my money for the glass door set, kind of left me hanging. I called the manufacturer direct had the correct doors in 3 weeks installed them myself ( approx 20 minutes) and saved $800.00. Provider name locked. in my opinion was very non responsive especially after they received payment. We also had a problem with one of the gas log sets, which they did fix, but it took over 4 weeks.
