    Bennett Contracting Inc
Bennett worked seamlessly with my insurance company. Work was needed due to the result of an accident where a small pickup truck smashed into the corner of my house. Porch was knocked off of it's piers and torqued, so windows, siding, and other aspects either needed to be fixed or replaced. The effort was not cheap, but the insurance company paid for most of it. Bennett always stayed in touch, were on time, let me know when difficulties arose with the insurance company and were generally really great to work with. It was completely worth not having to worry about the work being done right and expeditiously.

    C&L Handyman Services
Carmen responded to my initial call quickly, gave me a reasonable estimate, and was able to fit this project into his busy schedule within the timeframe we needed it done. He showed up on the designated morning right on time, and did a fantastic job on it. He has a great attention to detail and made sure it was sturdy and that it looked good, too. He answered all of my questions before, during, and after the installation, and I am sure I'll call him up again for assistance with home improvement projects. He's the sort of handyman and general craftsman you hope to work with any time you reach out to someone new for a project.

    Ado Construction
Fine. I called Admir yesterday and he promptly replied. He is highly responsive and arrived this morning to do the job. I already had the parts so he re-installed-- as best as could be done considering he was swinging a hammer 20 feet in the air. He was here for 15 minutes. When it came time to pay, he asked what I thought was right. Considering the truck trip, ladder use and installation, I paid him $80 which he seemed pleased to receive. He is extremely hardworking and conscientious and I would hire him again. He previously pressure washed my shed, did an excellent job and for a fair price.

    Bennett Contracting Inc
They are honest, professional, punctual, and generally do decent work. Occasionally their work was less than satisfactory of first pass, but they always returned to make it right. They generally tend to be more expensive than some contractors, but you get what you pay for. I generally end up hiring them after getting estimates from other companies, because I know that I can count on them to do the job right.

    Pauley's Home Repairs
Our house is over 70 years old and a lot of things have shifted through the years. Paul replaced the front door and worked to anchor the door to the house. He took the time to make sure that it was completed properly -- shimmed the door, insulated, anchored, made sure that it was plumb and shout properly, fixed the trim etc...believe me it took a lot of time and effort. Our back door was another challenge as well - it is a unique size and would have cost us quite a bit to replace a custom door and we would have to wait for it to come from the factory. Paul took the challenge and was able to repair the door, but in order to do so he needed to fully remove the door and the old frame. He rebuild frame anchored and shimmed the door, fixed the trim etc. He was also very courteous, cost conscious and considerate of our budget. He recycled as much as he could and was very fair on his pricing. I can't thank him enough for all he did to replace and repair the doors to make them work like new again. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to meet Paul and use his expertise.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PAUL and will call him again in the future for other projects that we have. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I signed a contract to remove the almost 30 year old wood frame windows with new ECOShield 4000 series vinyl replacement windows. The estimate was to start work in 5 - 7 weeks and worked started 8 weeks later. They measured all the windows twice prior to ordering. The windows are good - they reduce noise from outside and the house is less drafty.
Most of the windows were double hung tilt in, the kitchen was a casement window and the basement was 4 hopper units.
I waited to post this report until after several cold windy winter days. The windows help a lot to keep the house warm and the furnace is on less.
After the windows were installed I came home to a bit of a mess. I had to vacuum up all around each of the windows (sawdust from the wood trim and some other stuff  on the windows and on the  floors). All the floors needed a good cleaning. The glass was in good shape but I had to clean all of them twice to remove all the streaks, sticky finger prints, etc.
I noticed that one of the covers on a night safety catch was cracked and the handles on the kitchen window cranks were loose.
I called them and they fixed the broken safety catch and ordered new parts for the kitchen window and then replaced them.
Later I notice that the wood trim was not fully attached on top of one of the windows, called again and they fixed that.
They did all the work in a week and I am happy that the windows are replaced.
There was nothing in the contract or work schedule about clean up after the job and I never asked.
I would have been more satisfied if they had done some quality control check at the end of the job to catch and fix the 3 minor problems. leaving the home as clean as it was would have been nice touch.
I would suggest you ask any company about what they do after the windows are installed - cleanup of the windows, the area around them so you know what to expect. You may want to cover a dresser or other furniture with a sheet  to help make clean up  easier. The wood trim is bare so now I need to paint that or find a painter.
I received estimates from two other window replacement windows - one was about the same and one was much higher but they were both for different brands of windows. Comparison shopping for replacement windows is difficult due to the number of manufacturers, style, series.

    Mark The Handyman
Had Mark come in to replace the rotted out wood under the french doors leading to the backyard. Mark did an excellent job with the entire project. He walked me through and thoroughly explained what he found during the process, and his proposed repairs. The quality of the repairs was top-notch with full attention to detail. I've already scheduled him for some additional work around the house, and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Bob was very good about getting back to me and came out as scheduled to give me an estimate.  He performed the job in a timely manner with good quality.  He was very reasonably priced compared to quotes from other companies that also had good ratings on Angie's list.  I would use him again in the future for bigger jobs.

    NML Contracting & Roofing
    Started on time.
Found some problems with the plywood and ended up replacing quite a few sheets - which cost me $$ and him time.  But this wasn't his fault.
Job completed according to plan, and they left no mess at all.
The warranty took about 6 weeks to arrive from the manufacturer of the shingles.
