Which room do you hate to clean the most?
According to a recent nationwide poll on home cleaning, Angie's List members far and away expressed their displeasure with cleaning one room in particular: the bathroom - more than 57 percent cited the lavatory as their least favorite room to clean.
Kitchens came in a distant second with 22 percent of the least-favorite vote and the bedroom placed third with seven percent of the vote.
And it's no wonder the powder room is so despised - due to its necessity, the bathroom is one of the most frequently used rooms in any house.
When asked why they didn't like to clean the bathroom, poll respondents frequently cited the quicker accumulation of dirt, the inherent germs and the awkwardness associated in cleaning hard-to-reach areas as the reasons for their distaste in bathroom cleaning.
However, when asked how often they hired a professional house cleaning service, an overwhelming majority - 78 percent - say they never hire a house cleaner to help tidy up the home.
If you want to avoid the grime, germs, dirt and elbow grease of cleaning house, consider hiring a house cleaner. Angie's List features thousands of member submitted ratings and reviews on New York City area house cleaners, and there are more than 1,300 companies listed that offer house cleaning service.
