Westerville tree removal service frees trapped cars
Talk about a close call: Gahanna, Ohio, Angie’s List member Andrew Lower pulled into his garage just as a severe rainstorm hit his neighborhood. The storm caused a large shagbark hickory tree to twist and fall across Lower’s driveway and front walkway.
The tree barely missed his house. The storm’s severity caused trees to fall on neighbors’ homes, Lower says.

“The whole house shook, and I immediately had neighbors calling and gathering in the front yard to see if I was OK,” Lower says.
Lower wasn’t injured. The tree, however, damaged the sidewalk and bent a gutter. “Unfortunately, I was blocked in my drive and couldn’t leave due to the size of the tree,” Lower says.
Lower took the next day off work, and set out to find a company to remove the tree and free the cars from the garage. Once the cars were free, Lower would deal with rest of the tree later. He contacted highly rated Westerville Tree Service and received an estimate for $165. Workers began cutting the tree about an hour later, he adds.
“I knew they were already busy on other jobs from the extensive damage,” Lower says. “Even though I had never used them, they hurried over to clean up the quarter of the tree and brush in my drive. They cleaned and swept this section only and did a great job.”
