Virginia Beach companies rejuvenate dirty carpets
Whether you live in Hampton Roads or Suffolk, you’re looking for great service, especially with stained or dirty carpets.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Norfolk and Virginia Beach-area carpet cleaners as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Restoring a carpet's color
“I knew my carpets were filthy,” Suzzane Thurlby says. “But I also thought that they had been cleaned so much that in some areas the color was simply gone. I had these gray areas and my carpet is beige. "
She hired David’s Restore Carpet Cleaning of Virginia Beach to tackle her dingy carpets. "Well, the color is back," she says. "Of course, it had never gone away: There was simply way, way too much soap residue. The carpets were still fairly wet when they left, but it was worth it. My carpets have never been this clean.”
“I needed a carpet cleaner extraordinaire to clean my carpets, which were beyond hope,” says Deborah Stone-Richard. Duke Brothers Carpet Cleaning of Norfolk swept away her dirty carpet worries.
“This was for a move-out. The employee showed up on time, assessed the carpet, explained what he would be doing and went to work. In less than an hour, he cleaned six areas. The carpet was horribly stained and dirty when he started and impressively clean when he left. I would not hesitate to hire this company again. No complaints or problems whatsoever.”
Working on pet stains and odor
“I’m very satisfied,” says Kenneth Horton after The Carpet Medic of Suffolk revived his soiled and stained carpet. “They were on time and very quick.
"Before they started, they explained that the carpet stains may not all come out because of the age of the stains and prior cleaning attempts," he says. "They also said the pet odor might not come out totally because it likely had gotten into the padding. Though they were correct about some of the stains, most came out and the odor was eliminated.”
Relieving the stress
Stephanie Griffus thinks Dyna Clean of Virginia Beach did a dynamite job. “It was extremely easy and they went out of their way to help me," she says. "I just moved in and needed a carpet cleaning. They came out the next day and even worked with my oldest son so that I did not have to take more time off of work. I had to take so much time off for the move, the thought of taking still more time off was stressful. They simply said it was no problem. Their service was great.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
