Unusual source paints Portland door
When looking for a Portland door installer to replace two exterior doors and the main entry door of her home, Angie's List member Tia Nguyen turned to the experts she trusts.
Ed Gause Construction "built two of our decks, so we were already comfortable and familiar with his work," she says.
When discussing the ideas she had for her new doors, Nguyen says Gause suggested an out-of-the box idea.
Gause said to "get the entry door painted by an auto body shop for a long lasting, durable and great quality paint job," Nguyen explains.
Gause installed the three doors Nguyen ordered from the supplier. She then picked a color, Ladybug Red, and Gause took care of the rest.
"Ed handled all the arrangements with the auto body shop to have the door painted, including door transport to and from the auto body shop," she says. "It only took a few days for the door to be painted, so Ed and his friend Larry picked up the door and brought it back to our house to be installed."
Nguyen said the finished product is "beyond what we expected," and the $1,180 project was "worth every penny."
