COMPLAINT: Rebecca Kun, Portland
"A sales representative with Gutter Topper Northwest came to my house and drew up an estimate. He offered a discount if I purchased on the spot, which I have a policy of not doing.
He said the install would happen fairly quickly, so I agreed and paid half the amount, with the remainder to be paid upon completion. Since that time, I haven't heard from the company unless I make the initial contact. Voicemails and e-mails go unreturned.
The credit card payment has already been processed. I was able to reach the general manager, who said there was a problem with the quality of some of the panels and that they're waiting for replacement panels, but that was the last time I heard from them.
The estimated install time was five weeks, and we're already almost two months from the initial date of purchase."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like to cancel the contract due to their failure to complete the work in a reasonable time, and I request a full refund of the deposit without any fees."
