Trinity pool designer gives homeowner an outdoor retreat
Angie’s List member Eileen Triola of Tarpon Springs, Florida, wanted a swimming pool, but didn’t want to risk getting one that didn’t meet her desires or accommodate her family gatherings.
After meeting with Kevin Shipp, owner of highly rated Grand Vista Pools of Trinity, Florida, the Angie’s List member felt assured she’d get what she wanted.
“Kevin promised that it would be perfect,” says Eileen, noting that the final product is.
The 42-by-18½-foot free form pool includes a 7-foot deep end, a sun shelf with bubbler for toddlers and room to do laps. After a workout, swimmers can retreat to a built-in spa and waterfall feature accented by a fire bowl, or cozy up next to the fire pit with reflective fire glass.
“We have the color changing LED lighting inside the pool and spa,” Eileen says. “The reflective fire glass looks like glistening diamonds at night. It’s really beautiful.”
The entire outdoor living area is enclosed to keep out nature’s debris and the wildlife that like to roam the Triolas’ property.
“When we added that screen on, it felt like another living space,” Eileen says.
Eileen says she liked that Shipp explained every detail of the $105,000 project, which was completed two weeks ahead of schedule, and offered helpful input with material selections.
Since the pool was completed last May, Eileen says it has become the go-to spot for her visiting relatives.
“I have a large family with many little ones,” she says. “When they come over, I like that the kids have a place that’s shallow to walk in.”
