These Salt Lake City dentists show patience with their patients
Whether you live north in Ogden or south in Orem, you’re looking for great service, especially regarding your family’s dental care.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Salt Lake City dentists as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
A crowning achievement
Legacy Dental of Salt Lake City numbed Brigitte Reed’s dental fears. “I am very nervous and skeptical of dentists. I have not had good experiences with them in the past,” she says. “I went in for my consultation, and they took X-rays of my mouth. They also did a scan of my teeth and sinuses. The dentist was very nice as he went over everything with me. He didn’t lecture me. I needed nine fillings and a crown, which was better than I was expecting since I had gone so long without seeing a dentist.
"Overall, I would recommend them to anyone who has trouble with the dentist due to fears," she says. "They are very kind.”
Dawn Rose found a dental home at Horizon Dental of Taylorsville, Utah. “My family and I have been seeing Dr. Joshua Frandsen for about three years,” she says. “Dr. Frandsen and his staff are wonderful, friendly people. They make you feel comfortable and right at home. They make sure they take care of their patients and give them the best possible service. They are also very reasonable with their pricing.
"I have three daughters that absolutely love it there," she says. "It is amazing that my children enjoy going to the dentist!”
Jason Landau’s elemental issues were treated, thanks to Platinum Dental Care of Provo, Utah. “I went for a cleaning, and they suggested I come back for a periodontal scaling,” he says. “It had been years since I had been to the dentist, and I had buildup that moved to the underside of my gums. Everyone their best to help me not feel embarrassed about the neglect of my teeth.
"I couldn’t be happier with the hygienists who worked on my teeth or the office manager who came up with a creative way for me to pay for my work,” he says.
Worth the drive
Sharon Weyland is all smiles, thanks to Reason 2 Smile Dental of Salt Lake City. “I am a difficult dental patient. Dr. Andrew Vernon knows how to deal with my issues and is available in case of problems,” she says. “There is no pain, whether it’s fitting dentures, extracting bad molars or setting posts for implants.
"I travel 170 miles each way for appointments and checkups," she says. "Outside of the travel time, he has made going to the dentist a reasonably pleasant experience! The whole office is friendly and fun.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
