These Raleigh plumbers receive members' seals of approval
Whether you live north in North Hills or south in Garner, as a Raleigh homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Raleigh plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
'A true professional'
Michael & Son of Raleigh, N.C. provided Thomas Simon with several options for his plumbing work. “[Plumber] Jason was a true professional during the entire process,” Simon says. “He called me to let me know he was coming, put a mat out at the front door when he arrived and put booties on to keep the house clean. I appreciate that every time.
"He walked me through the options, explained what we could do, and offered alternatives," Simon says. "This is a huge bonus because it allowed for me to be flexible with the service I needed and the budget I had. He started work around 10 a.m. and was done by 12:30 p.m. He cleaned up behind himself along the way, so it’s like he was never here. We’ll be using them for all our plumbing needs in this house and future homes in the Raleigh area.”
Fixing another plumber's mess
Durham Plumbing Services of Durham, N.C. stepped in to solve the problem when another plumber failed to fix Max Bowman’s problem. “Last year, I had some plumbing work done,” Bowman says. “After a few months, I realized that the work was of poor quality, and it didn’t fix the problem. I decided to try and find a new plumber. I called Mike at Durham Plumbing Service, and he said that he could come out any time. He came out on a Saturday to diagnose my problem and give an estimate, and as of Thursday the work was done and everything looks and works great.
"He installed two arresters on the pipes of my washer and an expansion tank," Bowman says. "Mike is professional and timely, and he answered all of my questions. He also guarantees his work, which is something that made me feel great about using his services. He let me know that if something stopped working, or in my case, if the pipes continued to rattle and squeak, he’d come back and fix it at no extra charge. I’m very pleased with his work, and I’ll absolutely use his services again in the future.”
True to the name
An Affordable Plumber of Knightdale, N.C. lived up to its name for Susan Mierzwa. “I had faucets replaced in my Roman tub and shower,” Mierzwa says. “This was a challenging job as the house builder didn’t install access panels. During his initial visit for an estimate, Joe, the plumber, impressed us with his knowledge, recommended approach for install and excellent price. He also provided very helpful information on faucet recommendations, given our original faucet company was no longer in business. We received multiple estimates, and An Affordable Plumber had by far the best price.
"For the install, Joe and his associate were punctual, professional and did an excellent job," Mierzwa says. "They effectively addressed some unexpected challenges in accessing the pipes and completed a top-notch install per their quoted price. We highly recommend and will call on An Affordable Plumber for all of our future plumbing needs.”
Cary Plumbing of Cary, N.C. impressed Barbara Scott, so she called on them a second time. “I called on Cary Plumbing to replace my bathtub faucets after having such a good experience with them when a pipe started leaking under my house on holiday weekend,” Scott says. “This good experience on a holiday weekend made me decide to use Cary Plumbing again.
"I decided to replace a leaky bathtub faucet that had been fixed with new washers a year ago by another plumber but started leaking again within six months," Scott says. "An appointment was scheduled on a Friday, and the serviceman came out and surveyed the situation. He said he needed a part he didn’t have and explained what needed to be done. He said he would be back the following Tuesday so that he could put the part on his truck and not charge me for the time it would take to go and get it. He arrived right on time the following Tuesday, did the required work, installing beautiful new faucets that I am very pleased with. I have a new access hole finished with a plastic cover and a beautiful new Wolverine faucet that doesn’t leak a drop after it is turned off. Cary Plumbing is now my plumber of choice because I know I can get an answer on a weekend emergency, and I know I will get excellent work when someone arrives. “
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
