These Miami-area carpet cleaners go the extra yard
Whether you live up in Fort Lauderdale or down in Coral Gables, as a homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially when dealing with stained or dirty carpets.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Miami-area carpet cleaners as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
In the neighborhood
Larry Zukerman received same-day service when he inquired about carpet cleaning and called Michael’s Cleaning Service of Pompano Beach. “[Michael Bean] was in the neighborhood, so when he finished with his customer, he came to my condo,” he says. “After setting up his equipment, he went right to work. I pointed out the bad spots, and he pretreated those. He gave me surgical socks to wear over my socks, so they wouldn’t get wet.
"He especially took care with the stairs," he says. "He cleaned each step individually because they needed individual attention. When he was done, they looked great. I’ll call on him again in the future.”
A red, red wine stain
Hiring a family-owned business to clean his carpets had Bob Hannan wishing he’d found Ken’s Carpet Service of Fort Lauderdale years ago. "I wished I’d been using them for the last 10 years,” he says. “I’m sorry I wasted money and time with other companies in the past!
"You owe it to yourself and your carpet to call this company," he says. "Words can’t express what a difference they made with a very old, very dirty (red wine stain, too) carpet. It looks like new! For the best looking carpet or tile call and talk with Steve [Sharpsteen].”
While you're at it …
When Eleanor Bennett called for window treatment cleanings from Dry Concepts of Fort Lauderdale, she was so pleased that she added on extra services. “J. C. Chester gave me a price before he did the job,” she says. “I had drapes and valances cleaned in three bedrooms, living room and the family room. When he finished all of that, I was so impressed I asked him to clean the leather couch and love seat. It came out beautifully. I then had three area rugs cleaned. He put back everything he moved.
You’d never know he was there except that everything was so nice and clean," she says. "I can’t say enough about the company and J. C. Chester.”
Ilene Corey appreciated the personal touch Precision Workers of Hollywood gave to make sure her elderly father was safe. “The owner and his father run this business, and they take their work to heart,” she says. “It shows in the quality of their work and the care they took in making sure to move any necessary items with extreme care and not to leave a mess behind. They explained that the carpet could be walked upon immediately and to run the A/C on cold for several hours that evening to help it dry.
"They informed me to make sure that my 93-year-old father take special care not to slip or fall as he goes from the carpeted dining room to the tiled kitchen, as it might be slippery," she says. "Thank goodness he told me proactively, so I could pay extra special attention to that for the rest of the evening. I would definitely utilize their services again in the future.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
