These Kansas City carpet cleaners come to the rescue
Whether you live in Overland Park or in Lee's Summit, you’re looking for great service, especially when dealing with stained or dirty carpets.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Kansas City-area carpet cleaners as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Cleaning Cloe's catastrophe
Spots Be Gone Carpet and Upholstery of Lee's Summit, Mo. saved Brea Buchmeier from a pet mess catastrophe. “I had a pet stain emergency,” she says. “My dog threw-up on my favorite ivory rug, leaving a dark brown stain the size of a dinner plate. It was going to be very difficult to creatively cover with furniture.
"Keith [Wurtz, the owner] came the next day and in hardly no time the spot was gone," she says. "I’m more than satisfied with their work. If Chloe the dog tries to ruin my rugs again, I’ll be calling them.”
All About Home Services of Blue Springs, Mo. ensured Tami Jones’ home looked great before the holidays. “I loved them,” she says. “They were super-friendly and did an amazing job. They cleaned the carpets in my home and added protectant to help the cleaning last longer and make it easier to clean up spills. They moved all the furniture, and after cleaning they raked the carpets.
"I can honestly say they’ve never looked better," she says. "They also did an area rug inside my front door, now I’m holiday-ready. I highly recommend them.”
Making up for a broken jar
I DOux Carpet Cleaning of Overland Park, Kan. showed Mark Felton the true meaning of good service after a jar accidentally broke during cleaning. “They came and did a fantastic job,” he says. “I’d been out of town for a few weeks, and my dogs weren’t cared for properly by the sitter. The dogs came upstairs when I was gone and relieved themselves everywhere.
"They restored my carpet in a short amount of time," he says. "They use the same products and tools other companies charge double for. They accidentally broke a jar and promptly told me about it. I appreciated the integrity, character and diligence of that action. They cleaned my stairs free of charge to make up for the jar, they have a great customer focus.”
Attending to waterlogged carpet
Xtreme Steam of Kansas City, Mo. made Mary West’s rental home rentable again after a heavy rain caused basement flooding. “I had problems with water damage entering the basement bedroom after a heavy rain,” she says. “Brian [Cummings, the owner] pulled up six feet of carpet and padding and sprayed germicide to prevent mildew and odor. He came back after 48 hours and put down new padding and tack strips. He moved all the furniture back for me.
"He did a great job on the problems and did it quickly," she says, "which was important because it’s a rental unit and I needed the issues resolved immediately. I’ll definitely use him again if needed.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
