These Baltimore plumbers flush away members' problems
Whether you live in Columbia, Ellicott City or Annapolis, as a Baltimore homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Baltimore plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Pinpointing a leak
Glenoak Plumbing of Baltimore went above the call of duty for Danielle Copeland. “They came within two hours of calling and stayed for the duration of the project until every last bit was cleaned,” she says. “I had a leak coming through the wall on the first floor that I originally thought was from the toilet. They opened the wall and found the leak that occurred from bad plumbing of a prior company. They corrected the main line and also fixed a broken flange and bolted the toilet back in to minimize any future issues with that problem.
"They were amazingly professional and took the time to describe each issue and possible alternatives along with the cost associated," Copeland says. "The fact that they came within two hours when other companies were telling me the next afternoon was really appreciated.”
Replacing a rusty water line
Mitchell Plumbing & Heating of Middle River, Md. provided a positive experience for Nancy Cicere. “Due to an outside water break, the water main shut-off valve was rerouted and old, rusty main water supply line was replaced,” she says. “I called Mitchell Plumbing and they were able to give me an estimate for the replacement pipes and labor costs the same day. The next day, they dug out the old pipes and rerouted the interior water valve.
"All work was performed in a very professional manner," Cicere says. "They did an amazing job and I will recommend them to anyone in need of expert plumbing service.”
Replacing a laundry room tub
J.M. Stephens Plumbing & Heating of Pikesville, Md. flushed away Anthony Wicks’ plumbing problems. “I contacted Jim [Stephens, owner] and described what needed to be done: replace an old laundry tub in my laundry room,” he says. “He called and came to my house the next day. He inspected what needed to be done. He was quite knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He replaced the tub, faucet and pipes. He also corrected the overflow drain from the central air conditioner, which drains into that tube. He corrected a leak in a pedestal sink in the powder room on the lower level. The job was flawless in execution.”
Fixing a garbage disposal
Julie Roehm pours out praise for owner Bill Pinder of Bill’s Superior Plumbing in Bel Air, Md. “Bill removed a broken garbage disposal after discovering why it wasn’t functioning,” she says. “I asked him to just return my sink to normal drainage without the disposal. He did so, and I have had no further problems since then.
"Bill was punctual, quickly got to work and discovered the root of the problem immediately," Pinder says. "He proceeded to work on the drain, offering advice and then completing exactly what I wanted him to do. He was thorough, professional and a pleasure to work with.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
