These Albuquerque plumbers go above the call of doody
Whether you live north in Rio Rancho or south in South Valley, as an Albuquerque homeowner, you’re looking for great service, especially with your plumbing needs and emergencies.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Albuquerque plumbers as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
A full compliment
ADP Plumbing of Tijeras, N.M. went above the call of duty for Jane Sherborne. “They changed out a water fixture at my sink from the water softening system, tightened a faucet in another bath, changed and serviced my whole house water filter and provided me with instructions and maintenance tips on all,” she says. “They arrived when they told me they would, completed the work competently and quickly and answered all the questions I had. They’re wonderful at explaining why a problem has occurred and how to keep it from happening again.”
Fixing a flooding fiasco
TLC Plumbing & Utility of Albuquerque, N.M. quickly responded to Diana Raya’s flooding fiasco. “I’d been dealing with a clogged sink for a week or so,” she says. “Both of the kitchen sink basins would fill with water and ever so gradually drain. Sunday afternoon, I started some laundry and stepped out to go get groceries. When I returned, my laundry room was flooded and both sinks were very close to overflowing. My husband tried a liquid clog remover, which didn’t work. He then ran out and got a 25-foot snake and tried to take care of the problem. That didn’t work either. That’s when we started calling around for plumbers.
"TLC Plumbing arrived within 45 minutes of our call," she says. "They had to climb on the roof to snake our plumbing lines because we couldn’t locate our main cleanout plug coming into the house. About 20-25 minutes after they arrived, our sink was unclogged and everything was working as it should. It was a great experience.”
When Andrea Schankin hired Mark’s Plumbing & Heating of Rio Rancho, N.M., owner Mark Clem really came through. “I called Mark about 2:30 in the afternoon. He picked up the phone on the second ring — no ‘leave a message’ nonsense. He was very knowledgeable about my problem, knew exactly what was wrong, what kind of a fixture I had, its quality and how it should be fixed. He said he would do his best to work me in either that day or the next, but it might be the next week depending on the jobs he already had scheduled. By the time I arrived home at 4:30, they were just about done replacing the faucet. I was completely blown away by how responsive he was.”
Capping a geyser
Reddi Services Albuquerque was prepared to take care of Mildred Alvarado’s emergency plumbing situation. “They replaced an outside faucet, which had burst on a Saturday night, spraying water everywhere,” she says. “They were great. First, they told me on the phone how to get the water to the house turned off. The plumber came Sunday morning as promised. He quickly did a great job on replacing the faucet. He was kind and considerate to my two dogs, and I didn’t have to pay extra for having the work done on a Sunday. I will most certainly use them in the future.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
