Temecula contractor mixes the perfect stain to finish cabinets
Carlsbad, California, Angie’s List member Justin W. didn’t like the yellowish honey oak cabinets in his newly purchased home, and wanted to have the cabinets refinished prior to moving in.
He contacted three cabinet refinishers and one painter before selecting highly rated Pat's Custom Cabinetry of Temecula, California. Justin says he chose this company based on its crew size, expertise and ability to get the job done within his timeline.
That expertise paid off when the stain color Justin selected didn’t provide the finish he expected.
“Problems always arise with older cabinets,” Justin says in his Pages of Happiness-nominated review. “The staining process is very touchy, and it’s good to have an expert cabinetmaker who understands and can resolve issues quickly and effectively.”
The company mixed brown, black and green stain to get the color Justin wanted.
“I don't believe most cabinet refinishers would have been able to do this to myliking,” he says. “The custom color came out perfect.”
Justin says the crew also re-mounted his granite support wood pieces, installed new felt bumpers on the inside of the cabinet doors for a softer close, drilled holes, installed new cabinet pulls and knobs and added molding to cover the very small gap between the bottom of the granite counters and the top of the cabinets.
“Thanks to Pat [Wehr] and his hardworking crew for all their hard work and effort,” Justin says. “Our Kitchen came out perfect and was really transformed.”
