COMPLAINT: Max Lleras, Kissimmee, Fla.
"I hired Mid-Florida Contracting Inc. to install a new butcher-block countertop, a sink, a backsplash and baseboards. I paid them half up front. They didn't show up when they were scheduled to start.
"The contractor sent his friend to do the work, and he didn't know what he was doing. He came three times, then stopped showing up. Only some of the baseboards are done. I tried to call him but can't reach him."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like a $600 refund."

COMPLAINT: Bernice Levine, Sun City Center, Fla.
"Sun Wat Home Solutions/Phydo LTD installed gutters and downspouts. They only attached each gutter to the wall in one place, although all our neighbors have two attachments. I called and the owner grudgingly said he'd send someone over to add the other attachment, but he never did. When it rains heavily, the gutters overflow and cause erosion. I've called twice since, but they're ignoring my requests."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want the second attachment added. If larger gutters are required, I want the ones that were originally installed replaced."
