Tampa contractor restores water-damaged walls and floors
Repairmen are supposed to fix things, not make them worse. Unfortunately, Shane B. of Tampa, Florida, found himself needing more professional repair assistance after a plumber’s visit.
“We had a wood floor damaged by a plumber’s mistake, and had numerous large square cutouts of drywall to be repaired,” the Angie’s List member says in a recent review.
Shane requested quotes from five drywall companies. Jack Zolnierowski of ATI Services of Tampa was the only contractor who immediately responded and visited his home to see the damage and discuss repairs, he says.
Although Shane contacted ATI to repair the drywall, he later learned the company had expertise in other areas.
“We found out he could also remove our wood floor and install tile,” Shane says.
Shane admits it wasn’t an easy job because he wanted the tiles to be laid off-set from each other and finished with the dark chocolate grout he selected.
ATI’s installers got the pattern right, but white streaks in the grout threatened to ruin the look Shane wanted until Zolnierowski found a solution.
“We tested an area of the grout with sulfamic acid and it worked great to remove the whiteness and darken the grout,” Shane says. “I work with contractors weekly in my industry and I have never dealt with a better contractor! They are worth the money for sure.”
