Sykesville mower repairs leave engine in disrepair, member says
I hired Eldersberg Sales & Service Repair of Sykesville, Md., to repair my lawn mower deck. The mower was picked up and returned on schedule. The man who picked up the mower said it started with no problem and was running fine as he loaded it, so I didn’t need engine work.
After getting the mower back, the engine wasn’t running the way it was when they picked it up. Now it won’t run without having the choke pulled out. It surges as if it’s not getting the proper amount of gas.
I checked the air filter, and it was not clogged or dirty. I called them back and was told that it must be bad gas because they did nothing to the engine.
I don’t agree with this because I filled the tank with gas that I had gotten the day before. I want them to repair my mower engine to the condition it was in when they picked it up for repairs to the deck.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
