St. Louis chimney repair source of lost deposits and no work

COMPLAINT: Margaret Priest, St. Louis
"I called Twin City Chimney Service to repair my chimney. They took two deposits totaling $2,140, and that's the last I've heard from them. Myself and two other people have tried to contact them with no return calls.

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like a cashier's check for the full amount - $2,140."

STATUS: Penalty Box

Editor's note: The member and the service company were able to agree on a partial refund, but the member never received the check.

COMPLAINT: Jaime Krob, Kirkwood
"I ordered a crib, mattress, dresser, hutch, chest of drawers, glider and footstool from Treasure Rooms. I paid a deposit and was told it would be 6-10 weeks for delivery. Fifteen weeks later, I still don't have the order. Every time I've called, I've been told it should be in 'about two weeks.'"

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I'd like the delivery and assembly fee of $175 waived due to the inconvenience of such a late delivery."

STATUS: Penalty Box
