Seattle-area car owners praise their favorite auto repair shops
Whether you live in Olympic Hills, Seattle or Greater Duwamish, you need a reliable local mechanic to take care of your car.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Seattle-area auto repair shops as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Laura Simeon’s ride looks good as new, thanks to Auto Shine Detail. “I had a complete interior and exterior detail done. I paid cash to get a discount,” she says. “I bought a car from friends that have two small children, and you could tell! There were crumbs everywhere and lots of stains from spilled food and drink on the fabric. I was so happy to return and find the car looking like new. The interior was spotless and the exterior was gleaming. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the results!”
Doug’s Auto in Kirkland tuned into Clay Stockwell’s vehicle needs. “I recently had an oil change done, but they have previously replaced an alternator, serviced breaks and kept my cars in tune,” he says. “I have been a customer of Doug’s for a couple of years. If you’re looking for a trustworthy business and competent technicians, you can trust them. Stop into the office and listen to them talk with customers and suppliers. In five minutes, you’ll believe they have the customer’s best interest in mind.”
In Gig Harbor, Jennifer Burton is back on the road, thanks to Rainier Collision. “They expertly repaired my 2014 Lexus,” she says. “I can’t say enough good things about Rainier Collision. Someone hit my brand new car in a parking lot. They had to replace my front bumper and grille. They kept me informed throughout the process and they were exceptionally courteous. I also really appreciated that I could pick up and drop off the rental car at their location. They provided an excellent experience and they’re very nice people. Of course, my car looks brand new again too!”
Ballard Custom Audio secured Barry Lipnick’s alarm needs. “They installed a modern remote alarm system in my car, which had a stock factory alarm,” he says. “The factory alarm proved useless when thieves bypassed it by breaking the key lock on the driver’s door. They were able to tie the new alarm into the existing door locking system, which wasn’t easy, but they were very experienced and competent. As an added bonus, they were very nice people. It was a pleasure doing business with them.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
