Didn’t refund Marilyn Sargent a $200 deposit she says she paid for a custom iron pedestal for a patio table that she says she never received.

Didn’t provide a $1,500 partial refund to Thomas Tappan for home theater installation work he says was shoddy and had to be worked on by another contractor. Tappan says the company also charged $700 more than he was quoted and charged $300 for express shipping of parts.

Never provided a $1,070 refund to Paul Anglade for a window order he says he canceled after the company couldn’t get correct measurements. He says the company charged him, but didn’t provide service.

Didn’t refund $462 to Martin and Nancy Lanfranco for half the cost of a new cold air supply they say the company told them they needed, but they say the unit’s manufacturer describes it as a ridiculous charge.

Failed to respond to Patricia Crosby’s request for a $289 refund for an air duct cleaning she says was shoddy and failed to clean her vents. Crosby says the company also charged her an additional $15 for each of her seven vents.

San Jose

Never provided a $199 refund to Karen O’Neil after she says the company failed to fix her water heater.

Hercules Moving Systems

San Leandro

Never refunded $600 to Rachel Linder or settled claims for damage she says the company caused to her sailboat and entertainment center during her move. Linder also says the company charged her double the original price and wouldn’t deliver her items until she paid.

This company has a grade of C, based on 6 reviews.

Cal West Insulation

San Jose

Failed to pick up unused insulation and refund Garry Rose for the extra materials after he says they promised to do so. Rose says the company scheduled the pickup six times, but hasn’t shown up for any of the pickup appointments.
