San Antonio contractor spruces up house with new roof, chimney flashing
Member John Lang recently hired Storm Roofing of San Antonio to replace the roof on his Bulverde, Texas, home. The company also replaced flashing and used a weathered wood color that Lang’s wife chose.
Here’s what he had to say about his experience:
My wife and I purchased a home last year that was for sale by owner in an “as-is” condition. We knew the first thing that would have to be addressed was the roof. Shingles were sliding out of place, nails were popping out, and the roof had been patched several times. Despite the patching, the roof was leaking in two locations and had already caused damage to the rafters, drywall, baseboards in a bedroom and in the garage.
The new roof puts me at complete ease. Since the new roof, we’ve painted the whole interior of the house, completely renovated the kitchen and installed new flooring throughout. The new roof has allowed us do these renovations with the comfort of knowing that it is protecting the value of our home.
During the entire time, the foreman and owner Alfred Trevino kept me apprised of any issues. An example would be the chimney flashing. Although the flashing was still intact and would hold for a while, it was in poor condition and it was only a matter of time before it would start leaking.
Alfred recommended that it be replaced, but there was no pressure. I opted for the new chimney flashing anyway. Having the peace of mind that it would not start leaking a few years down the road made it easy money for me to spend.
I couldn’t have been happier with the attention to detail, and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with our new roof! The new roof made our home much prettier to look at while increasing the value of the home.
I have rental properties and intend on using Storm Roofing for any repairs or replacements in the future.
