San Antonio builder provides perfect outdoor kitchen
Bulverde, Texas, Angie’s List member Cynthia Rodriguez spent more than a year considering plans to build an outdoor kitchen and arbor. After several estimates, she decided to take the plunge this spring with San Antonio-based Texas Outdoor Escapes, a 2013 Angie’s List Best Contractor.
“At the first visit, Tony Godsey, the owner, took a lot of measurements and spent two hours talking with me, discussing what I wanted and needed from the project, and he gave me great ideas,” she says. “He told me he made the framing from steel, which impressed me because the other companies wanted to go with a stone or wood frame.”
She hired him for the six-week-long, nearly $17,000 project and never regretted it. “He included me in every aspect of the construction, and always came out to the site whenever I needed him,” she says. “The project evolved over time to come out the way it did, but there were never any surprises in the end.”
She says everyone from the granite fabricator to the electricians did outstanding work to bring it all together. “For the final touch to the beautiful outdoor kitchen, Tony and his son installed a cedar arbor,” she says. “I couldn’t be any happier with his work and the results!”
