Why should people plan a trip through a travel agency?
Corina Johnson: "The biggest advantage is gaining the experience of a travel agent and getting their recommendations."
Mike Cameron: "When things go wrong you have somebody to resolve your problems. We're like an insurance policy."
Marilyn Hyde: "We specialize in many, many places. We can give advice and we know what we're talking about."
Do you offer both online and personal service?
Corina Johnson: "Our website does offer information, promotions and updates but we prefer the personal service."
Mike Cameron: "We prefer to work with our clients face-to-face or over the phone. We do offer a website."
Marilyn Hyde: "They can book online but we get their credit card information over the phone."
Do you plan all aspects of customers' trips?
Corina Johnson: "Yep, absolutely. Including the basic things, like airline tickets, we can also book activities."
Mike Cameron: "We help select airlines, hotels and rentals; we can book their entire vacation."
Marilyn Hyde: "Absolutely. If they want a limousine service in Paris we can do it."
How do you charge?
Corina Johnson: "The only fee we charge is if we book an airline ticket. It's $25 and doesn't apply if it's wrapped up in a package."
Mike Cameron: "We charge a small fee of $25 for airline booking. The rest we book for no charge."
Marilyn Hyde: "There's typically no charge; our vendors commission us a percentage."
How far in advance should people plan trips?
Corina Johnson: "It's never too early to plan. I'd say at least six to eight months, depending on the season."
Mike Cameron: "The further in advance you call the better price you get."
Marilyn Hyde: "Depends. For a cruise or trip to Europe, more than six months. Something short, only about three months."
How far in advance do people need to get their passport?
Corina Johnson: "They need at least three months."
Mike Cameron: "We recommend at least 90 days."
Marilyn Hyde: "Do it yesterday. No time is too soon."
Do you recommend customers get trip insurance?
Corina Johnson: "Generally, I recommend it, but it's about their comfort level."
Mike Cameron: "Well, it's a good thing. It's fairly inexpensive and can save money."
Marilyn Hyde: "Highly. Some airlines recently went out of business and it came in handy."
What's one place you recommend everyone should visit and why?
Corina Johnson: "My favorite vacation spot is St. Lucia. It's gorgeous."
Mike Cameron: "Switzerland. Every time you come around a corner it's like a picture on a post card."
Marilyn Hyde: "I'm a London lover. It's a fun city and my father was born there."
