Sagamore Hills remodeling job allegedly poorly supervised
[621 Richmond Road, Richmond Heights]
Kevin Waycaster Sr.
COMPLAINT: Jesus Nebot, Harbor City, Calif.
"I made an agreement with Matthew Fairfield [owner] of Chateau Management to have him supervise a rehab of a fourplex in order to have two units ready for rental.
"His job was to hire contractors and pay them according to a budget he gave me after asking for bids. The job was supposed to include all roofing work, back wall repair, debris cleanup, electrical upgrades and plumbing work.
"Some roofing work was done, but it's leaked ever since. The back wall work, electrical upgrades and plumbing work are still pending. They completed some poor quality drywall work, but a lot was left pending. No cleanup was done.
"The units are far from being done, even though I have paid for the work."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "Mr. Fairfield needs to provide me with thorough accounting of my monies. He must take responsibility for paid work that has not been completed or refund monies accordingly. I could settle this matter with a refund of $2,000 for work not performed."
COMPANY RESPONSE: Matt Fairfield, owner, Chateau Management
"The member has been provided with all documentation for the work that was completed on the building. I have lost money in doing business with them."
