Sacramento-area car owners recommend these auto repair shops
Whether you live in Rancho Cordova, North Natomas or in downtown Sacramento, you need a good mechanic you can trust with your car.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Sacramento auto repair shops as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Nor Cal Mobile Mechanics, Roseville
Nor Cal Mobile Mechanics cleared Katherine Heining’s truck troubles. “I was having trouble with my truck and it wouldn’t pass the smog inspection,” she says. “Owner Adam Gomez was very upfront about his abilities and whether he thought he would be able to fix the issues. He performed a diagnostic, computer testing and cleaned various parts of the engine. Now that the work is done, the truck drives better than it has in months and I am able to drive it more often. I am 100 percent satisfied.”
Honest Engine, Sacramento
Stacey Romero enjoys knowing the truth about her car, thanks to Honest Engine. “I have gone to Honest Engine for about 12 years,” she says. “Since I am a female, I have had other mechanics try to talk me into things I didn’t need. I have never felt this way at Honest Engine. They do what was needed and always do great work. At times, they have told me what work I should expect to have done and how long my car could drive without it being done. Also, they are always responsive in an emergency.”
Walsh Station Automotive Service, Sacramento
Walsh Station Automotive kicked the customer service into high gear for Beverly Kennedy. “I recently had my 50,000 checkup, oil change and fluids checked,” she says. “Owner Rod Kunisaki has been my mechanic of choice for over 20 years. He is a busy man, but always takes the time to tell you personally what was done to your vehicle and what to watch out for, if anything needs attention. I will not change mechanics as long as Rod is in business and I am still living in the area!”
The Car Czar, Citrus Heights
The Car Czar steered Tim Moore in the right direction. “They replaced a faulty power steering pump and did an oil change,” he says. “I dropped my car off first thing in the morning and I was told it would be ready that afternoon, and it was! They called me during the day to let me know their original diagnosis was correct and that the steering pump needed to be replaced. They also confirmed the estimated price for the work was correct. Do yourself a favor and call them first. You’ll be glad you did.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
