Roofing job in Cincinnati allegedly creates more problems
Erie Construction Mid-West Inc.
Never responded to Matthew Taylor's request for reimbursement or repairs for a roof he says still leaks after they worked on it.
Failed to respond to Mark Greene's request to remove, reinstall and refinish wood flooring he says wasn't installed or acclimated properly.
COMPLAINT: Matthew Taylor, Elyria, Ohio
"Since Erie Construction Mid-West Inc. reshingled my roof, I have had at least five spots show up with water damage in my family room. The person who originally fixed the shingles on my roof from Erie no longer works for the company. However, the company told me they would have someone fix my gutter, and the problem would be resolved.
"So, they removed the gutter and fascia off the back of my home, promising a complete cleanup after the job. When the work was completed, they had to come out with a supervisor three more times to fix the back gutter, which was the initial problem.
"The cleanup was never done. They left nails on top of the roof and in the yard. Tar is still on the siding from the job they performed on the flat part of my roof. Every time I call the customer service representative, I leave a message, and they never call me back. I keep getting the runaround."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I would like Erie to fix my roof and repair the ceiling of my family room. They should also remove the tar from my siding, or, if they are unable to do this, I would like reimbursement so I can hire someone who will complete the job properly."
