Rocklin landscaper, homeowner disagree on landscaping plan
I hired Simple Elegance of Rocklin, California, to create landscaping plans for me, including elevation details for a backyard deck and landscape project.
They met with me several times to refine and clarify the design, which we settled in November 2013.
Six months after settling on a design, I’m still waiting on our plans.
They missed meetings and failed to email completed plans, resulting in a project delay. They’re not responding to calls or emails.
I want the plans that I paid for.
Jennifer Kampe, Los Angeles
After multiple meetings with the member, we agreed on a final set of plans. We set up a time for delivery, and I received word that my mother had been in an accident.
I forgot to call the client about a missed meeting because my mother passed away later that week.
I went back to work a few weeks after her death, and I’m now ready to submit the final plans.

Editor’s note: The service provider submitted a plan, but it didn’t meet the member’s standards.
Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
