Rock Outcroppings Provide a Natural Look for Front Door Entryway

Angie’s List member Michael K. of Clarkston, Michigan, hired Merrittscape of Waterford, Michigan, to upgrade the front entrance to his home.
The $8,800 project included replacing a concrete walkway with pavers, creating a patio in the front entrance and replacing concrete stairs with a natural-looking staircase made of outcroppings. In addition, the highly rated company covered the porch with pavers for a uniform look, created a natural setting with 15 outcroppings at the front entryway and placed two 900-pound statues. The job cost $2,000 less than another company’s bid, Michael says.

Michael found the work crew held a positive disposition while working, and they moved through the project efficiently while maintaining quality.
“They did the work in one week with no issues or damage to any of the surrounding plants, trees or brickwork,” Michael says. “They also cleaned up after themselves 100 percent, including sweeping up and putting down grass seed, which I did not ask them to do.”
Michael says he would have given Merrittscape a grade higher than an A if Angie’s List’s rating system allowed it.
“I would rate them A++,” he says. “They did a great job!”
