Retaining wall materials allegedly undelivered in Kansas City
COMPLAINT: Steven Inman, Stilwell, Kan.
"I went to Merriam Materials Co. Inc. to purchase retaining wall blocks to match the ones I purchased there three years earlier.
"I spoke with the owner, Larry Neal, and reminded him they used a forklift last time since it's a wooded site with limited access.
"When he arrived, he said he couldn't complete the delivery because he didn't own a forklift or small truck to access the site.
"I asked if this meant he was voiding the sale and he said, "yes," so I expected a $1,430 refund. It's been nine months and he refuses to refund my money."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a $1,430 refund plus interest."

"We attempted delivery, but the member refused because we couldn't deliver inside the curb line. He had a RV parked at his curb and, like our delivery vehicle, it couldn't access the driveway because of low branches.
"We comply with industry standards and spot deliver only if we have access. His credit card company investigated and agreed that we complied with our obligations.
"He refused our communications, including three certified mail attempts. Since we attempted delivery and he refused, he may pick up his order at our business."
