Rancho Cordova painter resolves homeowner’s dry rot blues
I hired Top Quality Painting of Rancho Cordova, California, to perform an exterior paint job and minor dry-rot work. My experience was a mixed bag.
The owner, Nathan Domeier, is a nice, personable guy. The estimate was thorough, and the paint job was satisfactory. The crew worked very hard, which was appreciated.
However, they won’t back up their work. All of the positive aspects of this job and experience have been overshadowed by Nathan’s unresponsiveness to fix the botched dry-rot work.
My front porch railing wasn’t properly attached to the main post. The misaligned railings slope downward and leave a large gap between the railing and top frame.
I understand that things happen. This is a minor issue that could be easily addressed. Nathan promised to perform the repair five times, but hasn’t shown up. This has been extremely frustrating. I understand he is busy, but five no-shows is unprofessional.
I want him to repair the botched dry-rot work on the front porch post and railing.

I will fix this problem in the next two weeks.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
