Subject: Key duplication

Your presentation is incomplete without reference to car theft.

I have had two cars stolen from my home property and am presently in a rush to prevent another theft.

The first car was stolen with a duplicate made while it was dropped off at an alignment shop for a few hours. That car was stolen about two or three months later, a neighbor watched as a person got out of the car, opened the door with a key and started it with the key and drove off. They thought it was a friend and didn't think of it anymore until I asked around.

The second car was stolen after another auto repair shop said they could not locate my key and I needed to bring a replacement. Two weeks ago, another lost key story appeared after the car was kept overnight for more repairs at another repair shop. But this time, I
was ready and moved the car out of the area for temporary storage. Today it cost me $400 to rekey the ignition and door locks.

Apparently, employees in these shops are looking for an easy way to steal vehicles or sell keys to the underground parts shops.

IN EFFECT, MY CAR, AND YOUR CAR IS ALREADY STOLEN WHEN THE KEY OR KEY REPLICA IS MADE, EVEN THOUGH THE ACTUAL THEFT OCCURS SEVERAL WEEKS LATER SO THE SHOP IS PHYSICALLY AND TMEPORALLY REMOVED FROM THE ACTUAL THEFT.

Try explaining this to police or the insurance company. You'll get nowhere. There is a way to react and protect and publish but you need to get ideas from your members, or the police or the insurance industry reps. We all have a stake in cleaning this disgusting treatment up.
