COMPLAINT: E. Paul Reid, Valrico, Fla.
"I hired Sun Wat Home Solutions/Phydo Ltd. to install the 'GutterSweeeeP' system on two sides of my pool lanai, as well as leaf filters on another set of gutters. After installation, they told me it would require them to monitor the system for three months.
"It was obvious immediately that the down drain on one end was dumping water over my pool machinery foundation. There was no provision to catch leaves and they plugged the runoff drain. I paid them an additional $400 to dig a trench to carry the water runoff away.
"They also installed a leaf bucket to catch leaves. The system has never worked properly. Also, the 'GutterSweeeeP' spigots obstruct the flow of the leaves and they pile up and block the flow. The existing gutter corners were supposed to be caulked and sealed; they're leaking. This installation is poorly designed and doesn't work. It's causing water to dam up in the gutters and seep under my roof shingles."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want them to make the system work and provide the monitoring they promised or remove the system and refund my money."
